I was just wondering how many of you would actually like to be in the gaming industry itself? I would love to be a part of it all what about you lot? :)

depends on what your definition of the gaming industry would encompass...

if you mean game design, programming and all that stuff then--well, I'm man enough to admit I just don't have the patience or cerebral capacity for that...

shoot, I'd be perfectly happy if I can wind up just running an arcade...that'd be close enough to the gaming industry for me to be content with myself

Sounds like a cool job, but I really would not know what sort of area I would like to get into within the industry really but owning my own arcade to me would be great!!

We could play a game called "Shut the hell up, you stupid fuck."

I have no intentions of even answering your question, but I bet the
answer would be no.

Well I'd seriously like to be hired onto an already exisiting company who is open minded and would use a Visual Concept Designer. I see so many damn things wrong with current games and even have ideas for stuff like my YAKUZA game, but unless you can program a little, no ones ever interested. *Fuckin' Shigeru Miyamoto couldn't program and his eccentric ass became a legend with Fat Boy MARIO and the "Gotta' save that bitch ZELDA again" Link. But today, everyone wants a tri-barreled penised home boy. I would've mostly wanted to VCD for 16-Bit games or even outlandish N64 games, but it's too late now.

I could elaborate further but there wouldn't be any point in it.

Yes, I do, and I am currently lined up to work at EA Tiburon full time. Started there as tester/intern and once I finish my degree I'll go into development. I don't see my long term career making sports games. I want to move back to New England, found a company in New Hampshire and finally see if some of these crazy ideas I have for games can become a reality.

Haha, why the hell not.

My degree is in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science.
