I'm having a hard time performing the specials of Demitri in SVC: Chaos. Controls don't seem to respond to well.

Any tips and "motions" to perform them with ease? I've been looking at the gamfaq.com list and I can't seem to get them right. :help:

when playing Demitri

throw constant fireballs, mix-up between d,df,f + A and d,df,f +C and when they jump do a f,d,df +a or C

Two things:
What type of controls are you using?

and

Which movements aren't responding well?

what about now?

he wasn't asking for strats (if you could call your copy&paste style such), rather insight on getting the moves to come out in the first place.

that being said, controls in chaos are spotty at best. go into practice mode and feel the difference between ken and ryu's dragon punch, for instance. ryu's is much stricter regarding the timing of the button press and keeping the df motion as close to d as possible.

really, practice is about all I can suggest. I still remember Demitri's exceed not wanting to come out sometimes despite knowing the motion was done correctly.

yeah, SVC's control is infamous for being quirky, but I never had too much problem with Demitri's moves, except for the Midnight Pleasure since it is a button combo moveset...for some reason the timing of the button combo movesets is too weird for me to rely on, but someone like Demitri can do just fine without that one super anyways

really? I've found that if you do HCFx2 + ABCD it comes out fairly consistently when compared to just trying QCFx2...try that instead and see if it works better for ya

I can't tell if you're being dimenuative or if this is a friendly ribbing. I hope it's the later and not the former.

diminutive? nah, I was just offering up my suggestion for how to get the Exceed to work better...

I didn't mean anything else by it at all...unless I missed something?

Most of Dmitri's moves are very easy to perform. Are you trying to chain specials from his hunter chain (chain combos of A-B-C-D)? Just like in the Vampire/Darkstalkers games, the second you start a chain combo, you can no longer end with a special move. That is, you can do close standing C -> qcf + P, but if you do A, B, C, low D, you can't follow the low D (or the C for that matter) with any special moves.

Oops. I guess I misread that then.

When you said to use the HCFx2 with ABCD instead of just QCFx2, I assumed you thought he wasn't pressing any buttons after the motion.

I couldn't tell if you'd seen him play and were poking fun at him stressing for the input during gameplay--or just blasting him for not being able to pull the move off consistantly.

Now that I've re-read, it makes more sence. It just looked confusing the first time around.

my fault then, cuz I see how omitting the ABCD the second time around is confusing (me and my typing shortcuts)...
:D

no harm and no foul Kagerou ol pal...oh another thing I noted about this Exceed:

don't try to do the move too quickly or it won't work...for some reason rushing the inputs doesn't seem to register, and after experimenting a bit with the speed I got used to how fast I can input the move and still have it come out successfully

Sorry for not being specific...

I'm using an old-style stick and I can't seem to get the Midnight Pleasure move and the QCFx2 ABCD. They seem to come out at random.

Thanks

the d,f,df motion can be hard to do I learned on Darkstalkers were it is much easier. Just try pressing down, then do a dragon punch motion. Dont worry about the exceed, u just really need to time the 4 button presses perfectly
