Top 3, Brazil, Pakistan, China.

Pakistan easily defeats jp without a doubt as far as skilled players go. I think that china is the closest to pakistan skill wise. I think BR rules over all.

It all comes down to the individual of course, but if you are going to go by nation, I say those two.

It's hard to say which country is the best because rarely if ever do some countries play each other. When was the last time Japan and Pakistan were in the same tourny?

Japan, Korea, China, Pakistan, Brazil, Mexico (no particular order) are the countries I think most regarded as top overall.

France has some good players, but I doubt they're in the top.

Yeah, its all generalized. I would say pakistan is the better of the two. If you wanna take exhibition as a factor, its all about brazil and pak.

You just cant be accurate when saying this about anything.
Hell, our area in so cal has AMAZING kof talent. I learned alot from playing others.

I have played against a lot of inmigrant brazilian players here and they're kick ass good ( altough I beat 'em all :D ).

The french are really good players at 2D fighters on my book, but bear in mind France is a country full of foreign people too. A lot of them aren't french natives.
But yes, they have to be at the top. Yamazaki93 is the best european CVS2 player and he's french.

As for Pakistan, I only saw videos of internal tournaments. I never saw them being challenged by any other country.

I agree, French players are very good, and a little arrogant too but oh well.

The thing is... he is a VERY strong motw player, that's true... but I'm not bad either... that is, I get some wins too...

But the guy is annoying... he always insults me and reminds me his beat by 6 or 7 and so on... I mean, I must admit he's tough... but boring too, shit -_-

they read your fighting pattern like a super computer and they are combo machines. KOF is extremely popular among Pakistanies.

I hear Morocco and Algeria have lots of KOF freaks too.

Yeah I'll agree completely with that. Somewhere around 90% of all the exhibition vids I have are from Pakistani players.

If I remember correctly a Korean player took 1st or 2nd for KOF02 at the first SBO tourney.

I just remember that Korean player who beat the tar out of what I guess was supposed to be one of Japan's top players in KOF '01. They showed clips of it on the KOF '02 Overstruggle DVD, and it was a real, old-fashioned ass kicking.

Beat him 13 matches to 3, and the look on the Japanese player's face was priceless. Exactly the kind of expression you want to see on someone you're playing in a competition situation. He looked like he wished he was 10 years younger so he could just start crying right there. He looked like he wanted to say something wasn't fair, like the joystick or something, but he knew that wouldn't fly. Poor slob.

Is he the same guy on that KOF2001 Final Japan Vs Korea ?

If yes, he was a lucky bastard on one of those matches. I found the Jap player on that video more of a player than the korean. But yeah, not every final is expected to be like we wish to. There are a lot of factors in consideration.

I don't know honestly. The only vids that I have that I know for sure have him in it are some 03 vids from a korean tourney way back when 03 first came out.

Well, then I could say that almost every beatzz is broken...

I mean, is there a perfectly balanced beat'em up out there? Yeah, Motw is close to that, but what about the others?

I wish they had shown entire matches of that tournament on there, but they mosly only show the highlights where the Korean player called down the lightning. Poking and whatnot until he found an opening, then a multiple striker barrage that took whatever health the Japanese player had.

They do have a bunch of '02 matches between Korean players on the DVD, though.
