The Raiden Fighters games are all fantastic. Its a shame that none of them were ported to any home console, even though an XBox port was in process a long time ago.

I would buy an XBox port of Raiden Fighters, RF2, and RF Jet in a heartbeat. I guess the only way to go is EMU on this one . . . :crying:

I am really looking forward to it but after looking at the screen shots I don't think that the 3-d treatment fits the series as well as it did shooters like Ikaruga and Gradius V. Time will tell I suppose.

Raiden Project on the PS 1 was a pretty good port IMO, and was probably my most-played game on the system. Raiden II got the vast majority of my gaming time, of course. Oh, and the arranged soundtrack on this version was fantastic.

If Raiden III does come out for a console, I will be fucking ecstatic. Raiden II was one of the greatest shooters EVAR. That's right I said fucking EVAR. Personally I don't see why more people aren't into this game.

Raiden II was great, no doubt. But, did you ever play Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, or Raiden Fighters Jet? Those three games were insane, yet they got very limited releases and no home ports at all. They were planned to be ported to the XBox, but it died on the vine . . . very sad. :crying:

The raiden project on PS1 is still classic to this day, just played raiden fighters the other day for the first time & loved it! lets hope this new game is up to the standard of old.

On another note played Caves new 1 too Ultra Mode, also very good, for me vertical shooters are king.

No, actually I've never even seen those games ... that's pretty damned sad.

Anyway, hopefully Raiden III will make it to one of the home consoles. That's terrible about the Xbox ports. :oh_no:
