Inbox Notifcation Email.

Is it possible to make the "inbox full notification email" that gets sent out when a user's message has bounced foward the actual text of the message? I mean the notifications on their own are well and good but why not have the notification contain the actual message so you don't miss it? It would be absolutely great if it was possible to impliment that and I'm not sure why people haven't brought it up before.

This is a good idea.

The only problem that I can see arising is that maybe people will be less apt to keep their inbox clean if they know that they'll still get the message anyway.

How would that be a real problem? They'd get their messages instead of deleting them and given this is a site where big deals often go down guarenteeing the delivery of any such messages is far more important than the issue of who is deleting what in their personal amount of alotted space.

I agree, and think that the benefits outweigh the downsides, I'm just saying that that might one of the mod's concerns. It's still a good idea.

We used to get the actual private message sent to us along with the notification via E-mail back at the old NG.com BBS....not sure why they decided to do away with it on this new forum.

I believe it has something to do with message tracking. With the previous system, the sender of the PM was not able to decipher if the recipient received
or read their PM.

No longer can any member here avoid or put off disputes that deserve immediate attention. The PM recipient must choose to respond or not,either way the sender will know that their PM was sent and when the recipient logs in it will be recieved.
