Anybody hear from them lately?
TonK said:Yeah, Dion was running his mouth a week ago on the DHP.

VinylBoy said:No more AES games? Bad for collectors, but no problem for us gamers.

chrisr said:Actually, I have updated the NGFUSA.com site sort of often. There really isn't much to say these days. Most of my stuff that was for sale is sold, but I actually still send out a couple packages a week. I am still actively looking for a few things listed on the site.
All in all, consider this a period of shake-out. When people have to ask what the DHP is, it really has gotten bad. As Dion and I have always said, we will be around long after the "true" fans of the last few years are gone.
I have some plans for the NGFUSA.com site down the road, but only as time allows, I am in no hurry. As far as stock and games are concerned, its over. NGF was the sole owner of over 8000 AES carts, and every retailer (including the neostore) bought their stock from our original "birth" and "rebirth". Even the later telegames stock originated from us. But if people don't realize that there is no more with the NOS stuff, then they are fooling themselves.
To sum it up:
Since we embarassed playmore in federal court, and openly enjoyed the lucrative settlement, it has been pretty much relaxation time. As this site grows more dead each day, the future of the neo geo becomes more and more bright.

Athlon64 said:Forgive me for my ignorance but does that really mean you guys were the first exclusive distro's of Neo-Aes products outside Japan?
chrisr said:Luckily, shawn was ready to step in with the required cash to fund the turds that playmore put out, to his own financial downfall.

chrisr said:Yes, we were the pioneers and first EXCLUSIVE distributor of AES games in the US. This is after SNKUSA went under and we were asked by SNK to take over all operations in the US. We went on to bring the English AES release back from the dead with KOF2000. We liquidated SNK Japan when they went under, and had a burgening relationship with Aruze (as you can see in th pics of us at the TGS working the Aruze booth).
When SNK wanted us to release that stinker Sengoku 3, and take 2000 Engish copies, we refused and the relationship was on a downslide. Luckily, shawn was ready to step in with the required cash to fund the turds that playmore put out, to his own financial downfall. Of course all the playmore cronies disliked us because we were able to secure all of the worthwhile assets of SNK, including exclusive distro rights. One federal court case later, things only got better for us, but what can you say, it is typical for playmore.
Hope this helps,
ChrisR

Stinky-Dinkins said:How exactly have things improved for the NGF? Your website is all but dead, your community amounts to Leslie, myself, and a handful of other spammers from NG.com. There is absolutely no remaining interest in NGF merchandise, and NGF Big Tyme Exclusive Carts have very little collectible value in addition to having zero appeal. You’ve been reduced to using Shawn’s bandwidth to peddle your merchandise in the selling forums.

VinylBoy said:Who cares... at the end of the night, anyone here could probably hand you your own ass at any of the games you sell. Speak about everything you claim to own. Just get in line, play your games and shut up.
chrisr said:Actually, if you were old enough to travel by yourself at the time you may have been there, both Dion and I were tournament winners at the first neo-shodown in ATL. Yes - tournament winners.
Go back to the club in your neighborhood. Someone may recognize you.
