Ok heres the story.

Got a faulty Gallag board about 6 months ago, replaced the sync bus (daughter board) couple of RAM chips, whole set of ROMs with the Namco boot up, several resistor arrays which were broken and cleaned up the board real nice. Made an adaptor to convert to jamma/mvs as I was going to test it in one of the MVS cabs, eventually its for a cocktail cab. Always wanted a Galaga cocktail and this was as close as Ive been

To cut a long story short after too many beers midnight last night booted up for the first time= nothing :( Then I notice Ive got the boards around the wrong way, its a two board set and Ive got one of the boards fucking back to front, switched it around the correct way, now I have jumbled gfx :oh_no: will it ever end

Moral of the story DONT MESS WITH BOARDS OR ANYTHING ELECTRICAL WHEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

:( :D

Thanks for the warning.

I find for repair stuff, you really need to be mentally sharp. If I'm too tired, I start to miss stuff, or make dumb mistakes. I now won't even try more challenging things unless I have a clear mind and steady hand.
