That does indeed look rather pretty

Kinda reminds me of the graphics of Ragnorak the online RPG.. nice by the looks of it though :)

Hopefully it doesn't have the kind of loading that the PSP first RPG outing did from Bandia. Can't think of the name right now. Something Generations? Eh, it wasn't very impressive either way. I wouldn't hold my breath on this one leaving Japan...only reason Symphonia did was because Nintendo fronted the cash for it.

You talking about Ys? That's the only RPG so far that I know of. I would like to see a 2D Star Ocean on the PSP. This looks great though is it real time or turn based?

Tales series is popular in europe, so it s verry probable it gets released in english if not in USA.

This one should not be crippled with loading times like Garghav legend of heroes (the bandai game you refer to), as you can see battle graphics are a bit toned-down compared to the overworld and i am quite sure it is to get the loadings in and out small battles fast (or maybe it s just because it s too early in development, time will tell).

Anyway, PSP UMD has 5 times the speed of a playstation drive... hope they will optimise and not try to fill the whole memory at once.

It s real time (except iirc it does pause when you enter a menu, like spells etc)

Well, that's never stopped them from being stuck with their US releases. Which is a shame, as I'd love to see more Tales games. Especailly some of their GBA dungeon games, would be great stuff for a portable.

The loading isn't so much in the maps as it is in all the battle info, Garghav Legend (that is the one, thank you) really doesn't have a lot going on with it's battle screens and it has some pretty bad loads. Even Ape Escape mini-games are said to have them. Mini -games of all things...ugh...I'm quite impressed with a lot of the stuff the PSP can do, but I really think they would have been better off not jumping to disc media. Not only would the PSP have a better battery life, it wouldn't have any noticable loading.

If they released the original Tales of Eternia in the US, as well as it's precessor, why wouldn't they release the remake?

I think this particular RPG has more chances to get an english release than many others...
