Well, duh. It's so expensive because it's "BRAND NEW. FACTORY SEALED. NEVER OPENED!"
Good luck finding a sealed M64DS anywhere! Especially at Bestbuy. Or Target. Or...K-Mart...
There are no more K-Marts left up here, and I've never heard of S-mart.
However.
I got the new Walmart flyer today and it has M64DS listed for $39 CDN, which I guess is something like $30 US.
He means S-Mart as in Sears-Mart as in Sears bought K-Mart to make back ground that Wal-Mart had taken from them. They are now the 2nd largest Retailer with Wal-Mart Still being first. But Sears was 1st until Wal-Mart came along.
It is rare around here its like the only DS game I don't see.
ok, to put an end to this rarity thing I just bought a copy yesterday for $38 Canadian. They had quite a few copies in stock(@ Walmart).
Also, when was the last time a US version of a Mario game went rare?? I don't ever remember this happening. Hell, it's still easier to find a copy of NES Super Mario Bros than many very new games...say, like Metal Slug Advance.
This is just a result of the frenzy that probably occurred during Christmas. Now that the holidays are over, copies of Mario 64 DS will be plentiful and this kind of ignorant ass shit will not fly anymore.
Actually, before Xmas I could find Mario 64 DS in droves. After Xmas I noticed everywhere was sold out. I did find some at Toys R Us, but EB, Best Buy, circuit city were all sold out.
Must have been all those adopters that got machines as presents with either A) no game at all or B) a real crap game.
