whenever i use my tv as my pc monitor...its hard to see the text even at low resolution...

what i have and using:

WinFox GeForce 3 128mb with tv-out

27 inch ESA(magnavox) tv

also: how can i get audio from my pc to my tv instead of still coming from the pc speakers; how do i get rid of the "video lines" that move from bottom to up on the screen...excuse my terminology, but does that have anything to do with "v-sync"?

thanks in advance!

I have an older model Gforce and a smaller cheap TV...

Reading text sucks.... I recomend that you not only run at a low res but make the text bigger.

I used it without a monitor for amonth...

Other recomendations:

Use the VGA card's software to smoothi it out...

ON the TV, play with brightness, contrast and saturation.... Usualy, you want a low brightness and low contrast... or maybe high contrast.. I can't remember.

Just keep playing with shit.

You can run the audio to your PC using a mini-jack to RCA adapter. Simply use the same input set that the video is going to.

Also, use S-video if you are able to instead of composite. Still, you can't expect the text to be nearly as readable on your cheap TV as it is on any fairly recent PC monitor, because your TV isn't capable of progressive scan.

I've tried this once, and eventually went back to using the TV and CRT monitor seperately. Sucks, but that's life... unless you want to shell out for something like an LCD TV.
