finally played both, and fuck it, the PSP owns the fuck out of the DS, it's like comparing a BMW to a Big Wheel. Besides the load times, blows DS out of the water.

DS is fun. The touch screen is annoying though. Having to switch between touch screen and buttons, because a games menu system doesnt commit to one or the other. Trying to hold the system while using the stylus or thumbpad. Stuff like that. The stylus certainly does work very well for the mini games in mario 64 and im assuming warioware touched.
Gotta say I prefer the PSP though. Playing current generation console quality games on a handheld has always been a fantasy for me. Especially fighting games (Vampire Chronicle sold me). I much prefer the analog nub to a touch screen.

actually 15 lol.. and dont get me wrong i like ds but im going for psp, something thats not named after nintendo in the handheld market for once, and maybe it wont outsell the ds but it will still make money and once people know how well it is and works, sony then might make a psp2 with touch screen and i wouldnt be surprised if they did

The ps2 smokes a GBA like a cheap cigar, but I still put in more time on my GBA than my ps2.
It's the game library that matters in the end. I guess we'll see in a year.

All I got to say is thank goodness that Nintendo has real competition... cause many of the efforts have been 1/2 hearted on their part.
I could care less about some portable with tiny, not so impressive screens that play old GBA games along with Pricess peace and other games ment for the younger generation.

The PSP will be another handheld to be beatin down by Nintendo's firm grasp on the handheld market.
It doesn't matter what you, or a small number prefer. What counts in the longrun for a console's survival is total sales. The DS will out sell the PSP 5:1 at worst. Although I'd predict it would be more like 10:1.
Low sales means 3rd party companies start to bail out or greatly lower their support. Fewer new games. By next X-Mas the PSP will be fighting to stay alive.

man i love how everybody spurts out personal opinion here for thier arguement... use what u know... base it on facts.. work from a solid foundation and u will sound sooo much more credible.. yes the psp is a better system... And the ds is a good system. Both have potential for amazing games... And eventually will have amazing games. Financially the ds owns the psp... nintendo will make a heap of money.. sony cares about the image of the product and will gain more market share in the end. However there will be a huge loss initally on the sony end and the shareholders will not be happy or are already not happy with the lose they are taking with the psp as of right now, and in the future will make the decision if more hardware gets released. In the end nintendo will be around.... sony will be around with more market share and the xbox 2 and 3 will be non existent. Now it all comes down to games and marketing. And to be honest I want to play fun games... We all just have to wait and see.
