Ok I'm pretty sure I screwed up my Samurai Shodown, I opened it thinking that the cart wasn't supposed to be loose. That and it was pausing at random and the Colors looked weird. So yeah Stupid me :loco: (No worrys I've kicked my own ass for this a few times already) and yes I just got my NeoGeo about a week ago.

Which way are the boards in the cart supposed to face each other? Have I Destroyed this game and my system or is this fixable? Is the system going to be OK?

Many Many thanks in Advance,

[Not to make this a hi I'm new thread but Hi :) Sorry for a New Thread when being the new guy]

The side with the screws in is the side the components are on, you can not get the boards in the wrong way around as they have keways cut out on the opposite edge of the cart edge connect (I suppose you could do it with brute force) Thats for MVS anyway.

I'm sorry I wasn't more specific Thank you for the help though.

anyhoo IT's a AES cart Not MVS When I opened there were no screws and I figured out the Keyholes. My concern is which way the boards face towards each other.

Many Thanks in Advance for any and all help.

If you could see through the label, component side (side with the chip faces) should be facing down on both boards. As for which one goes on top, look at the slots on the back of the boards. One should be wider than the other. Corresponding top and bottom due to the plastic tabs on the case.

Homecarts are bitchy things. Clean the contacts on the cart with electronic cleaner (or just rubbing alcohol on a qtip if you don't have the other stuff). Also, don't push the cart all the way down into the system. I have problems with my system if a cart is pushed all the way down. Push it down, then gently pull it back up maye 1/4 -1/2 of a centimeter.
