Hey all, just got a BLUE Casing KOF 2000 MVS Cart, and I want to make sure it's Legit.

It has a Holo Label, with the serials torn off.

There's the normal SNK Square chips in there okay, but the Long Chips aren't Toshiba ones.

The top ones say "257 P1" "257 P2" "257 V1" "257 V2" "257 V3" "257 V4"

Is this good?

It's hard to tell without pics, but from your description it looks legit.

Yeah I'm not able to take pics at the moment.

The Bottom board has the same Long chips, with 257 C1 to C8

Both Boards themselves are SNK ones, made in 1999.

No wires, no eproms.

My US KOF 2000 is in a black case. I know that it is 100% legit because I bought it new from the NeoStore. My Jap KOF 99 is in a blue casse.

No, I know that they made them in that, I'm just not sure if the chips are legit. They're not toshiba ones, just 257 C1 and stuff like that.

Crack open yours and tell me what you see. :)

Sounds Legit.

Just opened mine trying to help/check.(US KOF 2000)

Mine was bought as a kit.
It's in a off white case..

Toshiba chips on top board with a daughter board.

Bottom consists of a line of long Toshiba chips and one Eprom...

Sounds ok to me... I've never seen boots with correct chip numbering that were not on some sort of tape or hand written.

A boot Kof 2000 would generally use flash roms because of the size of the game. I've seen a couple boots of this game and they were on non snk boards too (with the flash roms).

There are many games that don't have the mfg branding on the mask roms, so that's nothing to worry about.

Okay, so the KOF 2000 is legit, thanks everyone.

NOW, just to make sure, these 2 are Boots, right? :

I'm 99% sure they are, just want to be certain.
