I am not sure what happened to my previous post, but I will just simply post this again, this time more coherently, so I will start from the top. If any of you have any advice or suggestions I would really appreciate it.

I have a MAS SuperNova and a MV-2F. I installed the newest version of Unibios on it, and everything worked perfectly, except the system would not save settings. It also would not play a game if you went to the "play game" command, I had to go to the jukebox, play a song for a moment, then I guess the game was recognized, and then I could go back to "play game" and it initiated, and switched between games as normal. Again, when I shut the system down, the system settings would need to be restored, and the system said that it was a battery issue.

So, after talking with Raz, I decided to install a new battery, I found the same battery and replaced it. Upon start up I put the settings in, and the problem still persisted with the "play game" function, but if I went into the jukebox and played a track, I could go back and start the game as normal. The games in the MVS played. I then decided to turn it off and see if the system settings saved and I found they did not. However, this time the splash screen was all pixilated. I turned it off and back on and the same thing happened.

Anyway, for some time I worked with it, trying to see if the JAMMA connector was loose or something and everything seemed connected. After some effort I got "Shock Troopers" to start and my friend and I played it for a while. We then decided to swap out the carts and again, nothing but problems. Strange pixilation issues on the Unibios Splash screen, no saved system settings, and games will not start by going to the start game function, but will if you go to the jukebox first, play a for a second or two, then go back to the start game.

However, after some time of no success of getting the splash screen to appear, my friend and I decided to play a game of his AES, so we switched the controllers over to the AES and now for some reason the 'B' and "C' buttons on the controllers do not work....

:(

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I thought SuperNova's are only JAMMA based? Might you need to adapt the MVS pin out to JAMMA?

The 2 Slot MVS board is obviously JAMMA ready, the SuperNOVA's JAMMA cord fits perfectly, and initially it worked perfectly. On my cabinet, it is the exact same cord config and my cabinet is a legit candy neo cab... I think many people use NOVAs for their MVS needs, I am not sure what a MVS pin is? Am I missing something here?

:help:

Thanks.

I expect you need to charge the new battery before settings will be saved. Have you tried leaving the system on for 11hours so the new battery gets charged?

Also what unibios version are you using? I take it its v1.3?

Yep it is 1.3.

I didn't even realize the battery would need to be charged, duh.

So yeah, we will try that. Also we are going to try cleaning the JAMMA connector today and see if that works.

Thanks everyone.
