NGPC Alarm Question?

Okay, so I got my very first NeoGeo system, a Neo Geo Pocket Color in Stone Blue.

Anyway, I notice it has an alarm in it, here are some total n00b questions about it.

1) How loud is the buzzer? Enough to wake me up?
2) Do I need to have the system on to have the alarm activated?

The Alarm is not that loud, and probably won't wake you if you're a heavy sleeper....

if you are a light sleeper and any outside noise bothers you, it'd probably wake you.

As for Power... no you don't need to leave the system powered on all night or whatever for it to go off, simply tap the power button and the system will sleep and then the screen will pop on when the alarm goes off.

Play with the alarm a bit to test it, for example just set the alarm to go off one minute from now... and watch it.
