Hmm, anyone know if this is an actual port of the MVS original?

Bust-A-Move Again

:emb: :envy: :eek_2:

Carefull now...or you may enter the land of confusion!

Yes, Bust-A-Move Again was the original sequel (first sequel) to Bust-A-Move. Also Bust-A-Move Again is (was) also known as Puzzle Bobble 2. The problem is that since the game ended up becoming a staple for Taito's yearly software lineup, the actual count and sequence of sequel after sequel has become pandemonium!

You will need to look at the copyrights on that disc to establish the era of time from which the game is based on. I lost count of the sequels long ago.

The basic key record for "neo-related" Bust-A-Move's is far simpler.

1994 Bust-A-Move for the NEO-GEO (aka Puzzle Bobble)
1995 Bust-A-Move Again for the NEO-GEO (aka Puzzle Bobble 2 AND aka Bust-A-Move EX)

...Taito and SNK engage in SERIOUS legal issues...thus...the NEO doesn't get it...

1995 Bust-A-Move Again for dedicated TAITO F3 cybercore system

...years of sequels for home console systems follows this until present day...

1999 Bust-A-Move Again (altered slightly) finally makes it to the NEO-GEO

SOOO...there are TWO Puzzle Bobble 2 games. The 1995 Taito Cybercore version and the 1999 Taito NEO-GEO version. Which means that the CD in question is MOST LIKELY a translation of the 1995 Taito cybercore version. Am I right sir?

:glee:

Hope your doing well Jonathan.

I can only presume; if I had the CD myself I would have checked the copyright year to determine if it chronologically could be a sequel or not. Thanks.

Edit: come to think of it we all would have heard on the old SNK site back in 1999/2000 or so if it were a port. Oh well.
