i know about the sticky thread, but i never found any explaination to this:

ngcdtvad.jpg

i dont know if you guys know about this (you probably do)
i always though the NGCD came with a gamepad/joypad, but i REALLY dont know anything about this stick.... first of all, i got this picture from the NeoGeoCD TV advertisment, 2nd, during the close-ups in the video, the "knob" was not round, it was somwhat a "smooth cone", plus, the color/shape matched the NGCD console (front type)

my query is, how come i NEVER saw any of these being sold, was it rare/cancelled perhaps?
and do any of you guy have this type of stick?
im really interested in buying one of these..

thanks

wow, really great thanks for the info :)
about those black oval shaped sticks, i knew about them already, i just though it was different from the sticks in my picture, now, about that ebay item there, that's not exactly what im looking for, you said you ahve one, is oyur like the one in the pic i posted or a black one? cuz the "Stick" on both seems differend, the black ones had a round one, while the grey ones appear to have curved cone-shaped tops...

anyways, thanks for the info :)

I have a grey one with the curved cone shaped top myself. They came with the front loader NGCD unit ..I'm pretty sure. Its often refered to as a "new style stick" or NeoGeo pro controller I believe.

The one on eBay most likely had the top changed, they screw off with ease.

ok, thanks... so, how does it fare when you are actually using it? any "advantages" or "disadvantages"?

I prefer my old style stick actually. The newer style ones' buttons seem a tad cramped for me, and its not as heavy as the old style stick..so it kinda slides around with me sometimes when I'm playing fighters (I usually lay my stick on a table to play).
