THE WAIT BEGINS :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

Great, I was hoping for a Belmont but this game will keep me off my work for weeks ;)

Hoping for a Genya and Julius to be playable.

Okay, NOW I have to buy a Nintendo DS.

I was afraid that the Castlevania DS game would be a crappy 3D game, but with this news, I'm hoping this game will rival SOTN as the best Castlevania I've ever played. They definitely have the tools to do so in the DS, IMO.

Not bad, so far. I may eventually pick up the DS, but I don't have the money, right now, to do so. Mainly because I need to keep my GBA SP, to play the GB games I still play on it. The little loss of backwards compatibility (except for Advance games) kind of stopped any notion of a trade-in.

You have to save money...

I'm going to end up buying an SP.

Just because I want to buy some older complete GB games.

Damn these f'ing video game companies. Another system war, another 2 systems I'll have to buy. I'm a total whore for both Ridge Racer and Castlevania, so here I go.

I will be buying a DS just for this game. Can't wait to hear the music, and play another kick-ass CV adventure. I beat the crap out of Aria Of Sorrow and plan to do the same to this lovely title. Still wish they'd attempt a 2.5 CV game on next-gen hardware ala Viewtiful Joe, but this will do.

Very cool to have a sequel Aria, this looks nice. Let's hope there is some expansion to the cast to keep things fres- (wait, fresh? What the hell am I talking about? Castlevania doesn't need to be fresh, it consistently rules).

See post above. In my opinion all of the 2d titles are thoroughly playable.

Some of my favorites are Super Castlevania for the SNES, Belmont's Revenge for the Game Boy, and Aria of Sorrow for the advance.

Most people revere Rondo of Blood for the Turbo Duo (as opposed to the SNES port), but I haven't had the opportunity to play it.

This means I can wait until Fall to buy a DS. This is really the first must-buy DS game for me. I like the idea for the use of the stylus, even if it is pretty limited. I guess the 2nd screen being stuck as status and map isn't much of a surprise. I also like the idea of continuing AoS's story, and that they kept GBA style graphics (that's all I need), only hopefully with a longer game. Hopefully, there won't be any delays, and in 9 months or so, we'll have a new Castlevania. Maybe the DS price will even drop by then (okay, probably not).

Time to buy a DS I suppose. I hope the graphics are as good as SOTN and the gameplay is even better. I'm glad they aren't trying anything stupid with the stylus. Drawing on the seal or whatever doesn't sound to bad.

Sorry boss, I played RR-DS and I think it's a weaksauce port of RR64.
The powerslides are too goofy (RR64 style without the old-school RR slide selectable), and with no anti-aliasing it looks like a poor man's Saturn rev of the game. Ridge Racers makes that game look fucking silly.

But this new Castlevania will make the DS worth owning.

This is the news i've been waiting for from Konami.

There really is a reason to own a DS. They haven't disappointed me one bit with a sequal to Aria of Sorrow.

Now, should I still sell my DS?
