Has anyone else here felt like arcade dealers/distributors can really be pricky to home operators? The guy I go through to buy my games half of the time ignores my emails to the point where to buy a cabinet from him I have to get him on the phone or drive in. I haven't spent huge money with him (about 3k in total) which is a drop in the bucket BUT I pay promptly, don't haggle, etc. All I'm looking for is for him to get out of his desk, walk back into the warehouse thats 30 meters away and look at his stock.

Anyway, anyone else have similar troubles?

The local places here are terrible for home buyers. I've been attempting to investigate getting a cab for the past few months, and out of over 10 promises of call-backs, I have recieved zero responses. I guess they figure that I'm not really going to go anywhere else, so they can just ignore me until the retail business is slow enough that they 'have time' for a home buyer...

Nope, you're not the only one, man...

your not alone, the only distributor near me is run by some hick who knows nothing about what the machines he owns are worth, and doesn't understand why a conversion cab is worth less than a dedicated. i hate him.

these guys are usualy some of the lazyiest lowlifes on earth...

They became opps for the sole reason that they thought that it would be easy money. Not to do any real work or develop thier non-existant people skills.

Thow on top of this of all the dumb inquireies they get.....

lolz ... go to an auction if you want to understand why these people are sub-par businessmen. Some of them can be pretty cool, but for the most part it's pondscum city.

Drives me nuts, I actually had one guy, worse than the current one, tell me what I could buy from him and what I couldn't. He kept pimping a playchoice 10 machine. And god forbid you tell these guys your budget, if you say "I can't spend any more than 600 dollars" I guarentee you that your buying it for 600, even if it's worth 200. If I don't here from him by monday, I'm driving up there. Let's see him put me on hold when I'm actually AT the warehouse.
