If the transaction is too old

forget about it

i'm sure ppl won't hate you for it

if ppl ask you to leave feedback for them, tell them to find the thread

I don't think that attitude always helps build seller confidence, but thanks all the same :)

only for the old threads, i'm sure the more recent transaction, the thread should still be floating about in the first few pages

but lot's of people (me included) will use feedback from old deals in order to boast there feedback fairly quickly, which if this system had been in place since the start wouldn't have to be the case

well we got to start somewhere

but i think its wrong to leave feedback with the link search function

cos then i can pretty much leave feedback for anyone or for no reason................

but that just my opinion

I found that one of the easiest ways to approach it as a seller is to go to your old selling threads, copy the thread link, and click on the names of buyers directly in there to leave feedback and just go back to the thread to click the next buyer name.

I did 34 feedbacks that way in the past hour or so.

If it's a public transaction you've done, may I recommend locating the user that sold you the item, or the thread where you sold the item, and then hit up the 'show all threads started by this user.' You'd be surprised how much easier the task of searching for the transaction in question becomes. I'm using that method right now.

Another approach is to just do them as you come across people that you've dealt with, like seeing the name on the Users list or in a thread.

I know it sounds gay me saying this fairly obvious thing, but it seems to me that some people just think the task is overwhelming and not worth doing. After a short while it'll become second nature and not such a task.

Damn I'm lame.

Personally I think it's kind of fun. It gives one something to do while searching the forum, like looking for buried treasure.

Bleh I can't find any of my old FS posts. I've done deals with qube, Steve, buttasuperb, wasabi, Big Bruno, maxlords, and a few others but no posts to back up my selling history. :(

Well, in the 2 or 3 people I have rated, (and I'm not finished with my list) those transactions were ages ago, but I have them on my Tradelist page (in my sig).

I just put "none" or "N/A" in the URL box and it works fine.

I've had a buttload of deals that I can't locate the threads for because they were lost when they swiched boards/updated or whatever, so I'm just linking to the main N-G.com page for people that I have dealt with and cannot find the original selling thread.

... that you have to search for old threads of stuff you've bougth and sold using the new system?

Forgive me if I start using http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/search.php? as the link for all feedback I leave

I know what you mean. I tried using the SEARCH ENGINE to locate past threads where I recommended the buyer/seller/trader as applicable, but I wasn't able to conjure up much at all. *Just do like me and link ppl to a Awesome Sellers/Buyers/Traders thread with a listing of those ppl, and mention what you recall during the business dealings. No one who's worth a shit in these parts is going to cause a ruckus over it anyhow because we're more or less familiar with one another. If it's a recent transaction {Very Recent} and/or any future transactions then one can link to the actual thread where it went down, or where you elaborated on your dealings.

This shouldn't give ppl a headache. I was going to start brand new threads for every person I had ever dealt with, but figured that be just too much spam and settled for this instead. "Works for me."

Sweet idea, I have found the thread for ALL the feedback I've left so far (wasted a good 40 mins) and I still have 5/6 more to do. I'll just use t3h good buyers/sellers thread for refs - it's not like many people are interested in the shit you've bought from other memebers
