Anybuddy knows how to see the end of SNK vs CAPCOM chaos?
I by chance got to the ends of crazy Ken, crazy Iori and Terry.
First I thought that you beat all the ppl without a single round.
But this doesn't work now.
I even tried making new records but this also failed.
How do I see the ends of rest of the players.
Somebody please tell me.

Yah also tell me how to get serious Mr. Karate (Takuma) and Akuma.

I'm feeling philantropic today...

taken from Kao Megura's SvC faq (available on gamefaqs.com):

"------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE ENDINGS
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beating the game normally (by killing Shin Gouki or Serious Mr. Karate)
will net you a generic, "bad" ending. To see your character's real
ending, you must get to and defeat Athena or Red Arremer. See above
for more information.

Note that while Shin Gouki and Serious Mr. Karate have endings, Athena
and Red Arremer do not."

Here's how to get to Athena and Red Arremer:

" [ SECRET BOSS BATTLE (STAGE 9) ] --------------------------------------

You can fight Athena for your ninth opponent if:

- You don't lose any rounds for stages 1 thru 7.
- You don't win any round via block damage
(this is when you hit an opponent with a special move or S^ move,
and they block it but still take a little bit of damage as a result).

You can fight Red Arremer for your ninth opponent if:

- You don't lose any rounds for stages 1 thru 7.
- You win at least 5 rounds with a special move (winning by block
damage is okay).

(Author's note: What they really mean is that you have to win five
rounds by block damage from special moves only. You'll know if you
killed an opponent who was blocking because they slump to the floor
slowly instead of just falling on their backs.)

(Author's note #2: Nothing you do during the 8th stage affects your
chance of meeting Athena or Red Arremer. Therefore, if you win by
block damage in stage 8, you can still fight Athena. And if you only
have four block damage wins and you get your fifth on stage 8, you
will not fight Red Arremer.)
Otherwise, the game ends after the 8th stage. Obviously, you can do
whatever you like during the eighth stage and it won't affect the chance
of meeting Athena or Red Arrmer.

If you do lose a round during stages 1 thru 7, just lose completely
and continue, and you can still meet the Secret Bosses (since the key
is to not lose any _rounds_. It doesn't matter if you lose the whole
battle and continue).

Finally, the number of continues and current game time have nothing to
do with fighting these characters.

When fighting Athena or Red Arremer, the game ends if you lose both
rounds to them, and you cannot continue. Furthermore, your character
will be turned into a different form upon dying (what form they take
depends on whether they fought Athena or Red Arremer)."

I don't believe Takumaji, or that guide he pasted from. I'll wait for the final word from G-Product.

Didn't work ...

I'm lost ...
Just don't know whom to believe.

Takumaji I guessed that I should not lose any round in a battle when I saw the ends of 3 o' them butI didn't know the rest of the things thanx a LOT for them.
So here is what I conclude:
*- If I defeat the ppl using SDMs of any guy without the block damage SDMs (like fireball SDMs and those in which the character keeps the combo even if getting blocked) then I will see the end right??
*- If I defeat the ppl using block damage then still I can see the end (if ppl_defeated>= 5) right?

This means that I will always see the end if I defeat the ppl using DMs or SDMs whether or not using block damage.
Since 7x2 = 14 rounds.
The no. of ppl defeated with or without block damage is always greater than 5, if I use a finishing DM or SDM right?
But that doesn't work man!
I tried it with Sagat (how much I'm dying to see his end!) but man ... The same screen that he dissapeared after the battles.
I even made a record of upto 3 minutes and 42 seconds but still failed!
Its a shit. Total shit!
I guess I'd have to wait till another miracle to see Sagat's end.

Did you fight Red Arremer or Athena with Sagat? If you meet the requirements of getting to either one of them, you will see the real endings after the 9th round (secret boss battle).

Requirements of fighting Athena:

- do not lose a round. If you do, intentionally lose the 2nd round and continue. Continueing does not affect your chances of seeing the real endings.
- do NOT win by block damage.

Requirements of fighting Red Arremer:

- do not lose a round (continue rules apply here too).
- finish at least 5 opponents with a special or tick damage caused by a special move.

The faq says "special move", but not super/(S)DM. AFAIK, there are different rules if you tick your opponent to death with a super, try it with a special which does tick damage, like Ryo's dragon fist. Guess a little 3-in1 combo that ends with a special is in order, like jD -> sC -> special, etc.

I just beat everyone with SM, lost no rounds, didn't even continue. I got to fight Athena in heaven.

Why didn't I fight Red Arremer ?

And how do I get to play as Athena and/or Red Arremer ?

The whole ending stuff in SvC is just bullshit. Hopefully I have downloaded all the endings on the web. Sadly, to fight Athena or Red, you have to go throught all these constraints. It reminds me CvS1 and the method to fight Akuma, Morrigan, Nakoruru

...which means you cleanly won without tick damage.

...because you won cleanly without tick damage... :)

They're only playable via debug/unibios.

Another c&p from Chris' SvC faq:

" ------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLAY AS THE FINAL BOSSES (AES console version only)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are codes to play as the final bosses, but they only work on the
AES version of SvC (as opposed to the MVS version, which is the kind
used in arcades). So, don't bother trying these codes in the arcade.

On the Character Select screen, hold Start to enable the random select
(aka roulette). While still holding Start, enter the following codes.
The directions listed are (r=right, l=left, d=down, u=up).

Shin Gouki l,u,u,r,u,d,d,r,l,l,u,d
Serious Mr. Karate u,l,u,d,r,r,d,l,u,l,r,r

Then press any Punch or Kick button while still holding Start. Unlike
the "mid-boss" codes, you must complete these codes before the timer
goes below 10. This means you have to input them fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, you can't use Athena or Red Arremer even on the AES
cart, although if you have a debug or universal BIOS installed, you
can turn on "developer mode", which will enable all the bosses.
They do not appear on the Character Select screen, but if you are
on the SNK side and push right while on the inner row of characters,
you will highlight a boss. The same applies to pressing left while
on the inner row of Capcom characters.

Thanks to Razoola for providing the information in this section."

Opps, guess I should have stated I'm playing on the XBox port. I know it's possible to play as them because I've played several people LIVE who've used them.

I didn't get the AES cart and elected to get the Xbox version because of all the negative things I'd heard about the game. I happen to love this game and it'll for sure be the next home cart I buy.

EDIT: Just found out how. Gotta beat 35 people in survival mode to play as Athena, 36 to play as old Red.

The Honki ni Natta Mr. Karate and Shin Akuma codes work on the console versions of SvC:Chaos Plus and A+, because, obviously, they have developer mode turned on from the start...like my AES SvC:Chaos Plus cart...

The one thing that needs to be cleared up here is that fulfilling the requirements for Athena supercedes doing the same for Red Arremer. That being the case, winning a single round with block damage is an indirect requirement for fighting Red Arremer because if you do not, you will fulfill the requirements for fighting Athena.

Thanx Tak

Thanx Takumaji your method worked. Steer and clear. Well I just got to fight Athena all the time using your technique but well the ends were cool . :multi_co:
Thanx again Tak.

You still didn't tell me how to get to select and fight using Shin Akuma and Serious Mr. Karate.

I guess it would be something like selecting Iori and Kyo in 99 or selecting Kusanagi in 2K2.

If you're playing the X-Box version, you have to beat all of Survivor Mode, and after that they get unlocked. I don't know about Live though. Maybe it's the same way as the boss characters? (Holding R on certain characters.)
