Turns out my wife does love me, got me a new Slug slot machine complete with 10" LCD screen. She got it off of eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6135733235 Luckily the top bidder didn't pay so this went through the '2nd chance offer' thing. It's set up next to my big red, fits in nicely

It's in practically new condition, and play is sweet. I still need to figure out how to put it on free play and tweak the sound, but that's just gravy :make_fac:

Anyone have one of these? I'd be curious to hear what you think of it.

Thanks! I can see trying to get one without the shipping costs, that was $70 for this unit. Even so, it was less than $375 total, methinks the wife done good :loco:

It's been getting a lot of play so far. The bonus rounds are awesome, they last for 5 minutes or so, and it's really where the LCD screen comes into play. It uses the characters from the later Slugs and mission music from MS1. You get the chance to go through several missions, and play each of the 4 characters by "shooting" several baddies. You pretty much can't lose any coins in this part, each pull is 12+, and after the machine hits 50 credits it cashs out after each bet. Once the round is over it cashes everything out, love the cha-ching, cha-ching of the tokens.

The screen keeps stats on how many bonus's the machine has hit, even after turned off. I've done 3 of the 10, wonder if there will be something special once all 10 get hit?
