I just got a DS as an X-mas gift I got to open early. Been playing around with the Hunters' demo.

Wondering how you other DS owners feel about using the stylus as the look around control method. At first I wasn't fond of it, switched to the Left-handed control method, but after a few tries I'm really liking using the stylus to look around. Alot easier to get percise aiming down. Just not that great when you need to 180 spin around real fast.

I just use the thumb strap with my right thumb. Works great.

I was using that method while ago, except my left thumb. Still yet to find a comfortable position to sit/hold it while playing though.

I'm left handed - so I use the stylus with my left 'pencil' fingers, the buttons for strafing etc, and the L button with my baby finger for shooting, noticed my baby finger hurting after maybe an hour .. but fuck it :)

also I feel using the thumb pad obstructs the map too much - and I have big ass thumbs so it basically covers the whole screen and I have to 'stretch' to get to the far right of it.. stylus owns though..

not sure about what will be better using mario hopefully I'll find out soon.

I use my left hand for movement on the D-Pad while using the thumb-strap and my left hand for aiming and jumping on the touch screen. My left hand reaches just fine from the left side of the DS to the touch screen, so I haven't had problems with holding the system. Only thing that gets to me is that you can't adjust the sensativity of the movement. Since I have virtually no use for looking at the map, I'm not bothered by the obstructed view. And should you need it, it's a quick glace away without taking more than a second to move your thumb to the side. No big deal, but it's clear that the touch screens primary function is for control and not the map.

I've also played with the buttons as the aiming option with a kind of "dual" setup. In this mode, it's more comfortable for me to hold the DS, but my aim is quite bad since I can't adjust the sensativity level. A slight button tap just moves things to far for me. In addition to that, I don't have the freedom of movement that I do with the touch screen. Nice of them to add in this method though, as I'm sure there is some bizarre person out there who would prefer it.

The only problem Ive had with it is the strap itself.

Its kind of ackward getting it to come around the system while its attached.
Should probably just take it off. Aiming with the actualy stylus isnt bad either, especially if youre laying down and have it on your chest.

I have the strap coming from under the system, gives me more to work with as opposed to if it was pulled from the left or right side.
