I just parused past sigar's thread in the wanted forum. After reading it I came to the solid conclusion that the Neo will never die. Yes there are the up days and the down days, but all in all past and present Neo fans will keep this place running forever. This is a direct comment by "sigar" ""The truth is, I took a break from Neo Geo and actually gaming in general. I sold a lot of my consoles and games, which I regret now."" People come and people go, but people never forget. Whats more important is people come back. There is no escaping the deathgrip of the Neo. I mean people say they are leaving, but a few months or a few years later they will return. I have been watching this cycle since I first joined last year. Fans are also assorted. Some people find out about the Neo now even though they played it 5-10 years ago at the arcade. These people had no idea that there was a home system on the market. These are the people that are looking around ebay and they find this site.

Some people run into financial problems and have to leave. Since it wasnt by choice they crave the Neo even more.

A lot of people start families and need the money. This is probably a better idea to sell then to keep it. God knows what little hellion will decide they want to pull the wire out of the controller or play ping pong with the deck. ""NOT WITH MY NEO YOU LITTLE RUG MUNCHING FUCK!!!!!!""

I know the market looks down now, but the market looked this down during summer when SSVS came out and everyone thought the market was automatically finished. A generation prior (Back in 1999) people said the same thing about the Neo being finished. 5 years later we still have sheer enjoyment playing the classics.

All in all I think the Neo, Community, market and all the enhabitants will do just fine in the next few years. Shawn has reassured us that this site wont be taken down soon. Everyone will go around shooting insults at each other like the market was still booming. Christmas is almost over and the regular Neo buying season will kick up in full gear again. I actually think its going to be a great year for the Neo.

Merry Christmas EVERYONE

My AES isn't going nowhere and I'm gonna continue to build up my home cart collection.

If people wanna jump ship and sell off all their home carts for dirt cheap, I'll gladly take the chance to pick them up for beans. Don't care if it means I land up with 3+ copies of certain games.
