I have just built myself a Supergun and was wondering if it is ok to use a pc speaker with it?. I have tested an old pc speaker and it worked but I don't want to use it if there is a risk of damaging the pcb, I dont mind if it could damage the speaker tho. :)

I don't think it can damage the pcb. Just remember to keep the pcb volume tuner low in order to avoid blowing up the speaker.

Did you attenuate the Speaker output of the Supergun to Line level (10k resistor)? It would be a good idea too...

With that said, all you can damage is the speaker.. don't worry about the PCB.

what makes you think it is crappy? :)

I visualised one of those poxy speakers fitted inside the PC tower, rather than a decent speaker from a powered speaker set up connected to the sound card.
