Ill keep this sweet and simple, im making an MVS portable with a One slot b board perhaps, and a PSone screen.

Okay, now, i have 3 voltages that need powering. 5volts, 12 volts, and 7.5 volts. All positive. Now, my goal is to eliminate using a large power supply (even the jameco one) and if possible, either up the voltage of 5, or down the voltage of 7.5, so theyll equal eachother. therefore, leaving me with 2 voltages to be powered. If its possible, even perhaps up both the 7.5, and 5 volts, to 12 volts, so I could power everything off of a small power supply (genesis transformer, perhaps even Game Gear Battery)

Ok, so does any of this sound logical? Is this all possible, or could you possibly reccomend some products for me, such as a 5 volt TV, or a small powersupply, and battery I can use that provides both 12 and 5 volt charges?

Thanks everybody, i really appreciate your help!

I can't really give you an answer, but if I were going to try this project I would check out the following site first:

http://benheck.com/

and then contact the owner of that site if I couldn't figure it out... That guy is the mater at building portable systems out of consoles. Kick ass idea for a project, and a challenging one as well. :D

Oh yea, ive seen his site before. Really is the reason im attempting this project. Im actually really suprised no one else has ever attempted a "true" portable with an MVS. I mean, sure, the games are big, but those one slots are a pretty damn good small revision. I am truly determined. I would like to start an official MVSp thread, perhaps a website, and simultaneous posting here, and at the benheck forums once i get all the parts i need in. Thats a problem I have with my projects, i always start them before i can even get near finishing them, due to lack of resources, tool, etc.
This one though, will be my pride and joy.

Man, I'm impressed by your project but, except for the technical tour de force, I don't see any single valid reason to do that.

Well, im going BIGGER!

Not in terms of size, but concept. A completely handheld NEO.

It can, and will be done, i promise you. I will put up a few concept drawings (hehe, really Concept) if someone can tell me how to and where I can host them for free. I never did get the whole hosting pictures thing.
