Can't decide which slug to play.

I own them all, but right now Slug X and Slug 3 are duking it out for my attention.

Which one should I play?

I'm open to suggestions except for Slug 2 which as we all know is the worst one :smirk:

3 gets my time the most...although its always a toss up between 3 and X...3 usually wins.

I would say 3... or maybe 5, but just because of the amazing music.

The music in the beginning of stage 2 or the trumpet solo in stage 5 get my vote.

It's not as good as X,3 or 5, but it's still a great game that gets overlooked.

No offense meant but... It feels much more like a cheap Gunstar Heroes than a Metal Slug game.

Sucks from the start till the end.

X is an amazing game, but I don't understand why anyone would choose it over 3, which has much more amazing levels, cooler bosses, one hell of an amazing last stage and more structured gameplay.
This has been discussed to death, but I still don't see what exactly X holds over 3.

The original is teh best for me.Just loads of soldiers and panzers to blast.The other ones with all the aliens and zombies just don't really pump my nads to the same extent,

Plus the last level on MS3 gets boring,its way overlong and theres no way you can get to the end and have a chance of saving any prisoners.

I haven't played the first Metal Slug on MVS yet. :kekeke: :cool:
I have only played X, 3, 4 & 5 only. ;) :)

They need to rearrange the levels & put them all
together and make it hella! longer plus Metal Slug 6
should be added too. They need a life bar to get maybe
6 hits and then your character loses a life and the food
will restore your health. :kekeke: :cool: The MS Series
is really fun but it is really hard!. :eek: A good challenge
is great! but some games are impossible to beat without
any freeplay or game cheats sometime's. :( :annoyed:

I like different playing view's like the Contra game
and some flying missions will be like
Aero Figther 2. :kekeke:

Call it Metal Slug Special Missions.

Give the 5 a try. I'm quite sure that you haven't found all the secret places yet, the difficulty is very progressive and the music will make the rest. And last but not least, you'll see new sprites.

Yeah, it should be easily possible to make a perfect Metal Slug, using most levels from MS1, X and 3, into one big adventure, starting out battling the enemy army, and ending up in an Alien and Zombie orgy!
I guess MS5 could have some levels there, too. Or at least some of the music from MS5 would be well met for my part.
And of course two or three totally new levels with new bad ass bosses as the icing on the cake.
It would be perfect.

It doesn't hurt to try and put a perfect MS game
on the PS2, GC, GBA, DS, PSP & X-box fully
uncenesored version. ;) :kekeke:

You never know and why can't CD games be
region free. :drool_2: :kekeke:

Last 6 months, 5, 1, and X respectively have been getting the most play.

I almost never play 2, 3 i'll only play when I have a bunch of energy, and don't feel too bad about putting on a few thousand taps on my A button, and 4 is just not original enough for me to play it as frequently.

But with the exception of 2, I love them all.
