Arcade machine monitor problems

Hi,
I'm a newbie to the neo geo world but I've recently caught the bug and I'm in collection mode.
I recently picked up a 4-slot arcade machine that's inside an original SNK MVS arcade cabinet. I believe all the parts to be original. Everything powers up fine and sounds great but the picture is very dark on the monitor. I've tried using the 6 adjustment pots for the monitor to fix the problem but to no avail. The picture is clear and sharp, it's just dark.
Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

maybe low crt screen voltage, its the lower pot on the flyback- carefull high voltage around that stage.

I try to help

I talk brainless sometimes..I have no knowledge of monitors...(Sorry)

I usually see cap kit as the fix method for monitor problems..

Send ttooddddyy a PM..he's the monitor genus

Can you get a pick up of what it looks like..?

I Rekon you need to tweak the brightness (CRT voltage on the flyback) it worked for me anyway .. it kind of works as a course brightness adjuster but dont turn it all the way up you might damage the screen..

also ttooddddyy is it safe to adjust this when the monitors on seeing as its connected to the high voltage lead :eye: :eye:
