Getting sound from cps2 board via 6 slot mvs

Hi all,i have a slight problem,ive just recently aquired a cps2 A&B board marvl vs cap for my mvs cab,ok the thing is game booted fine,but i dont have any sound whatsoever does anyone have any ideas to what i can do to fix this problem? thanks george. :help:

This may sound like a Obvious awnser but have you cleaned the contacts

actually,i did with q-tip they were not to bad to be honest,the person i bought board off is a hundred percent,i trust him,but im thinking im maybe not wired up or something for sound,im not very technicaly minded,but i did change the suicide battery ok so average i guess.

thanks for reply chris,i did indeed check volume,i even went into bios on cps2 setup and changed from Q-sound to mono but no change :blow_top:

I think you need to change the wiring in your cab to mono..if you haven't did that..

The easy way is to just remove the wires going to the speakers,from the speakers
Take L & 10 and run it to one speaker leaving the other speaker unhooked..

Or the top board may not be making good contact with the bottom board.

You may need to press them together and see what happens.
Are they clipped together..?

Yer they have the 2 clips going in quite snug,i will try what you said though,thanks.

From the Jamma harness...find Pin/Wire L & 10 they are opposite of each other in the harness..They run up to the TWO speakers plus two ground wires....
You need to take off L & 10 from the two speakers..and connect them to one speaker creating Mono..taking off the ground wires on the speakers..the other two wires..


Making sure everything is marked to go back to where it was taken off.

Have you tried the RCA stereo jacks on the 'A' board ?

Hi again raz,what is the deal with them are they just l r out,i sent a leads to tv to see if it would output sound but nothing.

A big thanks to chris and raz,got sound sorted now via cps2 game on mvs cab nice one. :glee:
