test mode, soft dip

How do I get to these options, I just got an MVS 2 slot and I wanted to know how to get to them. Do I need a certain bios chip, and if I do how can I tell which one I have? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Find the small, blue cube on the left edge of the board. You'll see 8 small switches on the side of the cube facing out. They are numbered 1 through 8. Switch #1, when turned on and the board powered up will access the hard/soft dips, hardware test, memory card test and give you a few other options. Other than that, dip #7 is for free play and dip #8 will pause the game. The other dip switches have no real function to them other than for linking games to other cabs.
