If you want one for Christmas, hurry now.
Toys R Us are advertising a DS bundle and they DO have them in stock...I bought one myself.

Bundle deal only...you have to pay $189 which gets you a DS system, an Intec Starter Kit, and a SpiderMan2 game

Still, it beats buying a used system off of a forum or paying the eBay prices.

Seems like most areas are having some shortages at the moment. Perhaps the big market areas (near large cities) have enough to go around, but I can tell you that most of the stores in my area are experiencing shortages of all consoles with the exception of GameCubes and GBA SP's. Hell, even XBOX and PS2 systems are in short supply which is odd.

I knew of this deal last week, its bullshit if you ask me.

You should be allowed to buy just the unit.

Spiderman sucks, and so does a shitty starter kit that NOBODY will use.

Bundle deals are the norm around the holiday seasons when supplies are expected to be short.
Happened with the GC and XBOX when they launched. It sucks, but retailers do this to boost sales in their stores.

And to get rid of shitty add-ons they are stuck with...

I'm sure if you could pick your own game it would have been better...

Spiderman? Ugh...

I know.
Somehow I got all excited when they said they had DS systems on hand, so I just paid the money nearly on impulse not giving much thought to the Spiderman game and starter kit included.
It's all good.

You can always keep SM sealed and bring it to EB or Gamestop and say that "your mom bought you the wrong game, can I swap it out with another?"

Works all the time for me...

Its a win win situation.

For you and the store...

I picked one up at Best Buy last Sunday, but they were almost out. They had just got a shipment that morning and the guy said they spread them out around the store so people wouldn't get all crazy. :loco:
