game switch button stopped working! ideas?

well, I powered up my system and the game switch button stopped working. Any ideas on why? I tryed another button and still nothing....

Test mode ---> soft dips ---> game select. Change setting from "only when credited" to "anytime".

ok, thanks! I did that and it works...


any idea of why the settings would change without me doing it? It's been working since I got the system just fine.

Have you cleared the Back up memory (Press A,B,C) on the mobo recently..?

(I did last night in the Candy,it reset to Select Switch Works:"Only when Credited"

I figure a failing battery may cause this to happen.....(?)

For future search info..

NOTE:..
Clearing the Back-up memory resets your settings back to default.
Difficulty,timers,Credit display on..Level display on..and Select game switch only works when credited..
Any changes made will all be reset..
