I am a Nintendo fanboy...

I was a Gameboy fanboy...

I really try to like the DS...

Mr. Driller was fun, Mario was fun...

But what is the future of the DS?

After reading this months EGM, I'm going to agree with a magazine...

What good can possibly come of the DS?

Yes, the touch screen is innovative, but what else can you do with it?

There are no serious games on the horizon..

If the touch screen was swapped for an analog stick, we would be better off.

But think about the innovation of 150+ games that use the touch screen, what innovation is there?

I'm sorry, but the DS is looking stale at the moment...

Nintendo had the chance to make something that would compete head to head with the PSP, instead they made a crap system.

I turned off the fanboy lens and saw the light...

I'm hoping Nintendo's big anouncement will be a possible trade in your DS for a portable GC...

Sorry guys, I'm just calling it like I see it.

No, its not that...

The PSP is 100 times better than the DS.

I've never praised a Sony system, but they got it right with the PSP...

I'm not trying to justify anything... especially to anyone on the internet.

I tried playing Ridge Racer again today, and its an utter slop fest...

I popped in Mario, and got bored...

I'm quite happy with my purchase, I'm sure you are a "wee" bit jealous that I'm going to be playing mine next week while you wait for the price drop that ain't gonna happen.

$400-$550 is where this system will stay for a few months.

Half of the people in Japan that wanted one still havent gotten theirs...

Nintendo is out of gas.

i dont know about hem but i am jealous if you whant to spend 500$ on a system
thats cool if i can do that i will do it i dont do it cos i dont have the cash and thats the true so people talk shit cos they cant buy it now if i can only sell cab buy one my self :drool_2:

I loved the first one, but the stylus is hard for me to use...

Now your freaking saying how horrible the ds is!

We already know that gameboy replacement is in development... why the hell are you posting about nintendo needs to pull something out of their ass to make the ds win the handheld war?

The ds was not made to compete with the psp!

Also, I don't have any jealosy for your PSP purchase. I have the cash to get it at these inflated prices; However, I also have some common sense...

Is it the same common sense that made you pay inlated prices on AES carts at almost 3X their retail value?

I overspent $250, big deal.

I want to see what this big announcement is...

I don't hate the DS, I don't hate it at all.

Just right now, after comparing both systems and playing the shit out of one of them, I've decided to take the plunge and go for a PSP...

Do I favor it? YES

Its just that I'd honestly buy a PSP just to play Puyo Pop Fever, Puzzle Bobble Pocket and Ridge Racers...

I like the fact that I can do other things with it as well.

It will never leave my house, so I'll probably keep it plugged into the wall.

I think it was pre-mature to launch either of these systems...

And remember, it all boils down to the games...

I've played what I wanted to on the DS for now...

And I can still go to EB and get another one...

But waiting 4 months to try the PSP is murder for me....

I like new stuff, and I want to be ahead of the game...

You guys know how I operate...

This DS is going to a great, new owner...

I knew TonK would finally see the light of day on this issue.

Once you get past the lust of new hardware and look into the future game releases for it, you see the DS just does NOT stand up.

If the touch screen is rarely used for anything more than analog control, than so be it. That doesn't mean that games won't be fun. And the potential for developers to make something interesting and fun is still there. Frankly, I see more interesting and enjoyable games that have been announced for DS than I do with PSP. Maybe that will change later on, who knows. But currently I view the DS as having the better line up coming. Really, what serious games are on the horizon for the PSP? I'm not seeing them.

Exactly why I sold all my AES carts and rely on ports and my Xbox for the Neo games. I recooped the majority of my investments on Neo stuff. Try selling that PSP in a couple months and see if you recoop that $500 plus investment?
