I'm thinking about whether to get this game. How is the gameplay? I'm not really concerned about the other stuff like the graphics or the music just the gameplay. Do the moves come out smoothly, etc? If you have played it or own it please post!

I've played it, and actually, I liked the vibe (a '70s word), but there are many games I would get before I'd think about buying Galaxy Fight. I would not call it paticularly smooth in the gameplay department. But if you are MVS, why not just try it for $15-$20? If you are AES and only buy US carts, don't bother...I doubt you'll get more than $25 worth of fun out of it.

Yea if you can get it for $15-$20 pick it up..

I bought one awhile back with art for about $25.00...This is not one of my favorite games.
It's different though..
Awhile ago I had some friends come over to play MVS fighting games in the cabs ..I set up a mix of fighters in each cab and let them try them out..
When they got to Galaxy Fight they tried it out and were going at it having a good time playing it...I was shocked because I didn't really take to it much before playing one player and I didn't think they'd play it much.....Then I joined I, playing the winner and enjoyed it too.(this game is better playing against someone)

Afterwards I asked their opinions...They all said,"it was Ok..but,I don't like it"
Before I put in some other fighting games,I asked..Do you want me to leave this one in..
They said.."NO,TAKE IT OUT!!!!"

Either you like Galaxy Fight or you don't, as simple as that.

IMO, and despite what most ppl say, it's a nice game, but if you don't have any 2P competition, you should verify first that you are a determinded player - GF in 1P is tough as nails, no matter what difficulty level you choose. The CPU is very cheap, and the fact that there are no level borders (the levels scroll on endlessly) and the different gameplay features (focus on dashing combos/attacks) doesn't make it any simpler.

Graphics are a mixed back, personally I like the trashy, dark and gritty look, but that's just me. The end boss (Felden Krais, what a stupid name...) looks awesome in my eyes.

The characters are quite cool, except for the robot G.Done (which you will soon learn to "love" as a CPU opponent). My fave charas are Rolf, Kazuma and Roomi... because GF is a Sunsoft release, you will notice some familiar things, that is if you know Waku Waku 7... WW7 is much more refined than GF, but both games share some elements.

Like the others said, if you can get it for a good price, you should pick it up and give it a try, but don't expect too much return-of-investment if you are going to sell it again... ;)

I had my shares of fun with GF. It's not the top of the line fighter but the game has it's own value. But I'd recommend it over KOF/SS series.

I think it's sort of a quality signal that it's as tough as it is.
I've still not beaten it on Level 1 difficulty, and I'll play it until I can beat it on Level 4.
I prefer its gameplay over Waku Waku 7.

I dislike the game,
just never did anything for me.
the only reason I have a copy of it is because I landed the Korean
cart from nate.

I like it as something a bit off-beat, different. It's good if you give it a chance. And it will take some real playing to figure this one out, it's not so standard as the average Capcom fighter.

Someone should call Gui here, he can talk about this game till the cows come home & tell you just about all you ever wanted to know about it.
