Alright, ive been lurking in the shadows reading posts and info on the hyper and with all the recent testimonials on the great deals with the Rev2 board + new kit combo deals, ive become really interested in getting myself the hyper64 fighter collection.

1. Where do i get these great deals?
2. the hyper64 board works with my neocandy cab right? (as long as the mobo is switched to jamma?) the button layout is the same, etc?
3. what do the games look like? (carts? )

merry xmas!

1. The people with the package deals will most likely be Vektorlogicsales on Ebay. They just had 15 full sets with all 4 fighters and a rev.2 board for $199 (one of which I snagged :buttrock: ) . The auction listing said they had 50 of these sets to sell in Dec. but he hasn't listed anymore yet. Just be careful on which auction you check out because in addition to the one mentioned above, he also had 2 going for 190 pounds which came to like $290 and people actually bid on the more expensive ones.

People on the boards and places like Arcadeshock try to get a much higher price out of them, mainly because while they aren't THAT hard to find, the biggest suppliers seem to be Vectorlogic and people are hesitant to purchase from overseas due to shipping.

2. I've got a Neo SC-19 candy and from what I've read as long as you switch the Rev.2 board to MVS it should play just like your MVS setup.

3. a pic of them shouldn't be too hard to find (check link above), they look like metal squares (which apparently have sharp edges). I haven't seen a size comparison pic so I couldn't tell you how big they are in relation to an MVS cart.

I got my Hyper kits off of Jeff @ Vektorlogik - and as they are items that he actually has in stock, you shouldn't have any problems besides the uber expensive shipping of UK- USA
the hyper kits and all 4 carts weigh in at over 10 kgs so shipping may be expensive

The carts are quite large, as indicated. I won my Rev. 2 board w/B1 and SS: WR from IcoNsx (member here), and shipping was $28 within the U.S. The carts are some seriously solid pieces of equipment, very heavy and pretty large (I'd say about 10" by 10") and so is the mobo. After getting used to my fragile MVS board and the little-bitty Atomiswave board, that H64 is an absolute beast. A totally sweet beast that you will be happy to own, of course. :buttrock:

just so you know these guys dont use any bubble wrap or anything they just put all the boxes in a bigger box so kits might be beat up alittle. just so collectors know.
but still a very good deal.

If you specify that you are a collector, Vektorlogic will treat your shit like solid gold. He got beat up... badly... when he first started selling. He was selling people full kits then sending just the carts and the sticker sheets and shit, removing them from their original boxes. He also shipped a couple games IN the boxes, no other protection, if memory serves me.

Anyway, I bought my Hyper from Vektorlogic a year or 2 ago for like $400 shipped. I thought it was a great deal at the time, though now seeing people getting them for ~$200 + shipping I wish I had waited. Oh well, that's life, and I was able to play the games that much sooner. ;)

I finally got my Rev. 2 Board up and running! :buttrock: Norton9478 built me a new PSU that runs -12v instead of just -5v like my other one, so now I can use the same supergun that I use on my MVS and Atomiswave boards. Works great! So far I've only played SS:WR, and it's great. Liking it a lot so far. I also have Buriki One, and now I'm seriously tempted to finally blow $165 + shipping on a new FF:WA kit from Arcadeshock.

Sweet board, great item for collectors and gamers alike!

That's odd. I run my Rev 2 board off the same power supply in my supergun as I do with my MVS and other motherboards. :spock:

Anyways, FF:WA is a kick ass game, I highly reccommend it. It plays like a 3D real bout and has some solid music as well. Expect some standard 3D backgrounds.

I would say use the search button, but....

If you have a rev.2 board [which I assume you do, given you got it from Vektorlogic] its just plug n play

You may need to unscrew the front metal panel in order to make the board fit with your supergun. That's what I did, and it works perfectly.
