I don't know what this event is called, so I'm having difficulty finding it in the faqs.

From what I was told back in the day I was playing MVS, in SS1 the button mashing only slightly improves the chance that you tear the weapon out of your opponent's hand. In SS2, allegedly the chances are better now. However, what I found most curious was that when I entered one such event in SS2, my Ukyo kicked away Charlotte, with a frame of animation I've never seen in any of his kicks, and she travelled across the screen. The animation looked similar to the way Amano from Last Blade kicks away the opponent. I don't know what I did exactly to produce this, did anyone have any luck producing this result?

yeah, I've seen this happen from time to time...dunno if it's random or if there's a trigger (like tapping kick near the end of the struggle) but it seems to pretty much be a tactic that can give your character a moment of breathing room to set up something...

I 've never figured out a way to do this consistently. It may be random. Just another neat little detail in SS2's list of many, many neat little details.

Honestly, a bigassed game like Soul Calibur and I found everything there was to find in 3 days.

With SS2 its been 10 years and I still have yet to figure it out. :buttrock:

Sorry, the kick off has been pretty random with me too...and I could never reproduce it when I tried.... :(

I've seen this from time to time as well, but for the life of me could never figure out the method either.
Glad to hear it wasn't my lack of skills.

Well, I did figure out one thing now, that kick animation frame is actually the second of two from that of Ukyo kicking an unthrowable character such as Earthquake or Kuroko. Now I don't feel so baffled, having solved 1% of the mystery. :D

It's probably another bug, in the extremely long list of SS2 bugs people wish they could reproduce.
