I love it makes me want one even more! It gets 1 million smileys.

I am not sure which disturbs me more: The fact that the PSP can eject disks like they were frisbees (Good God I am an 80s child) or the 1 million smiles.

Either way, this just goes to show that life is, in fact, absurd.

It DOES looks like he is twisting the unit somewhat, which definitely goes beyond normal usage. Still, you should be able to be pretty rough with portable electronics and not have to worry about shit flying out of them. I've never been hit by a CD forcefully ejected from my Discman, you know?

Seems like a design flaw to me.

I'm sure if you twisted a discman hard enough, the lid would pop open and the cd would pop out. It's not a design flaw if you're using the device incorrectly. Maybe you should be whining that the psp shorts out if you use it under water too.

I could give two fucks about brand names or fanboyism or whatever. My previous post was pretty balanced, actually. It's logical that you shouldn't twist it; it's also logical that shit shouldn't fly out if you happen to.

And yeah, i have a discman in my hands right now. No amount of twisting or even a drop from a few feet pops the cover open or ejects a spinning disc.

I dropped my iPod today.

I fucking hate my iPod! Screw Apple and their dominance of the portable music market with their poorly built and poorly conceived pieces of crap. Is everyone in the world stupid and blinded by the "Oh you have an iPod your sooooo cool" factor? Why does everyone overlook the obvious downfall of battery life? "Wow Apple just released the new Photo iPod I'm going to rush out and buy one even though it gets 4hrs of battery life without the backligh!"

o.k., thank you for explaining that. I noticed the twisting, but I could not figure out what the person was doing.

I can only imagine some people must have a lot of money. That $400 dollars could buy me an SS4 or SS5: Special. Heck, I could get a SS1 and an SS3 and still have money to spare.

I think some people just don't appreciate how fortunate they are.

You're right, but what kind of fucking idiot twists his expensive new game system to see what happens. If he's just sitting there playing the thing like anyone else, we'd have a problem, but this dumbass is trying to make it flip out like that. I'm sure I could get my portable DVD player to do the same thing if was stupid enough to try it.

My ps2 controllers flex and crackle when I use them. My friend jokes with me "you break it you bought it" when I play at his house. Cheap plastic is one thing but having it shoot the game out is another.

PSP Import Hardware Issues

Dead pixels? Ejecting drives? Snapped nubs? How are the first 200k systems holding up?

Welcome to earlier this week on the net...there are going to be problems with some units...what company releaese ANYTHING with a failure aret of 0%???

Dead pixels aren't that an issue, from what I read it's a think difficult to verify at QC tests. Nintendo had a exchange policy, I just hope that Sony do the same.

But the other problems are scary, though.

They will probably fix it once it gets to the US. Plus, who knows what kind of damage happened in shipping.

The only reason I would wish for a PSP is Darkstalkers and Street Fighter.
