That's all fine and dandy but then, what about ppl who sign in to sell stuff in the market forums?

I agree with Takumaji. I've been buying & selling here for years and most of my posts have come in the last couple of months.

The biggest downfall is that new members may spam to get their post count up, just so they can post in the trading forums.

The suggestion is interesting since it will oblige the members to be known (at least a little) before using this board to make money. Of course the remarks of the two members are also good. The main point is to protect members against scammers. I'm more in favor of a limited amount of money for the first deal you make on the board. Explanation:
-You register here
-You put something on the market forum
-The limitation for the first post here is 20$ for example (if you post more, the message is deleted by mods)
-You make the deal
-Once is done, the buyer turn the thread as a succeed one and you get an other money limitation.

You do that until you get enough good trades to be unlimited.
The bad point is that it represent a lot of work for the mods.

It is a good idea, although 100 posts could be done with a couple of days spamming in unrelated. I would also add a rule of that you need to be registered at least a month before you start using the market.

I fail to see how a post minimum or time limit before sales would prevent anything or makes things better? I've been here for a while and if tomorrow I feel like scamming how would this prevent me.

I dont think a minimum amount of posts will help, as superfami said, Ive been around for good while, but just dont post here all that often, so I think thats a little unfair, although I do think that being a member here for a month or 2 is a good idea, not because it will stop people scamming, but it may force them to actually make a contribution to the "community" rather than just signing up to abuse the selling forum.
