Try cleaning the cart, that might help. Just use a Q-tip and wipe the gold connectors ( I have no tech speech skills ). You'd be amazed how dirty those can get. Some people recommend electronic cleaner on the the Q-tip, but I just do it with a dry one.
Congrads to both of you on your purchase.
Thanks, that worked like a charm. I've spent my whole night with the Neo, and I have a couple of things to say.
First off, when I opened the box, I was just floored. I couldn't believe that I was finally in posession of an AES. Moreover, I couldn't believe that a tangible object could awake so many good memories of time spent at the arcade. When I got home and plugged it in... wow.
First, I played Fatal Fury 2. I played this game to death in the arcade, and I had nothing but good memories of it. All those memories came floating back as soon as I saw the intro. But, something that hit hard was when I found out that I wasn't good at the game anymore. I've been playing a lot of this one tonight.
Next was Art of Fighting 2. I remember playing this on the MVS as well, however, I never spent as much time with it. I decided to give it some more time now that it was free to play, and I'm glad I did, because I like the game quite a bit. It is really damn hard, though, and often as I was playing it, I wished I was playing FF2. But, I decided to go on to my next game.
I popped in Samurai Spirits, and I wasn't looking forward to it very much, to be honest. In the arcades, I never really got into SS... it was quite different from the other fighters out there, and I really sucked at it, so I wasn't really drawn to the series. However, I decided to give it a go... my dear god. Why I was spending my money on FF2 back in the day and not this game, I'm not sure, but now it's all that I'm playing. It was very innovative at the time, and remains to be very, very solid. I can't express how much fun I've been having playing this game. I can't till I can pay off my Visa so I can order a copy of SS2...
All in all, it's been a wonderful evening, and I couldn't be happier. I got hired at my local EBGames as well, which isn't too bad either, given my current job (internet tech support for Comcast) is complete garbage. I'm really looking forward to building my AES collection over the coming years... it's everything that I had hoped it would be.
