:very_ang: This is my first time to play a SS game and it's the 4th installment and there is one thing I san say "IT'S PRETTY DARN HARD". This is perphaps one of the most challenging games I have ever played. I could breeze thru a KOF but not this one, any tips on how to beat Amakusa using Hanzo? Thank you. General tips would also be great at this time.

Interesting. I always found SS4 extremely easy.
SS3, on the other hand, is damn hard!

I think you just need to get used to the different gameplay. You must be much more careful than when playing KoF as leaving yourself open after a missed attack will cause much more damage to you.

SS is alot like a chess match imo, you have to analyze and counter the move your opponent makes, if you rush in and attack, attack, attack you'll most likely get a serious ass whooping. You have to just change the way you play to suit the style of the SS series, its not really that hard once your used to it. Counter-attacks are generaly more efficient than just rushing in and unloading on the cpu in my opinion. Also alot of the special moves do no more damage..or not as much damage as a heavy slash attack does. Sometimes its better to just use the sword/weapon with basic attacks instead of overusing special moves.

My advice is try using jumping kicks when the gender confused cock jumps.

The main gripe I have with this game is the dodgy damage attacks do. Fierce slash = fuck all, Fierce kick = major chuck! WTF?!?!

It got slightly better with SS2, but there is still some dodgy collision detection going on. At least these are better than III, IV, V & VS.

Wow, I couldn't have summed up the SS series better myself. I just played SS1 and SS2 to death last night (8 p.m. to 3 a.m.), and all the memories of playing these 2 games in the MVS all rushed back to me. You can play pressure with some characters, but I don't think any human can come close to matching the AI in winning the medal for blocking. You have to kinda jiggle around, watch for an opening and just slap him for all it's worth, and know the priorities of your move against that of your opponents. I've learned to serious appreciate the different strength levels of slashes and kicks, and gained a fine new appreciation for well-placed crossovers.

I can't finish it yet on lvl4 , but its ridiculously easy compared to any of the others.

I think V is easier than IV.
