"Please note that, the DS's screen is NOT this dark (please see the very first photo), just because if the we take the photo as the original brightness and contrast (of the digital camera, not the consoles), the PSP's screen will be too bright."

Yeah, it's brighter, but the DS's screen is great at its normal brightness.

What protects the PSP's screen?

From what I heard... it get's a scratch resistant coating over the screen area... and it's said from the tests that you need something like a knife blade to scratch it, but things like keys etc won't scratch it.

Certain high cost optical equipment have this sorta thing as well... so it's not uncommon for high quality products.

Wow... when you look at them side-by-side like that, it's painfully obvious just how much better the DS is to the PSP.

It was fanboy bait.

But I guess they didn't bite.

The original Linked thread is Fanboy bait...

Cummon, they take a pic while focusing on the PSP. The DS is way up in the dark corner.... Instead of taking pictures side by side, the person should take a pic of each in the same spot with the same camera angle.... I have taken enough pics for ebay to know this.

And look at the choice of screenshots used.

One uses a very nice pic of a person. It looks FMV or still. The comarision shot is fo the MarioDS title screen. The PSP shot is a best case scenario while the DS is a worst case scenario.

The other one uses a Full action screen against a Pause screen.... WTF?

The third one is a Title screen against a drawing screen....

The methods used to get these resaults are so faulty that I am now more stuipd for reading that thread.

This is good news...

Sony actually used PCB traces and carbon pads with silicone gel molding for their button actuator designs... like old-school control pads do/did. Open up any NES or other control pad to see what I mean.

This is way better than tact switches that Nintendo uses on the GBASP and DS:
