I was gonna Buy something from BuyRite but everyone says they suck whats so bad about them tell me everything. 
Is BuyRite really as bad as everyone says it is?

Well, I've tried to deal with them years ago, they had some Jap PSX games I were after, but they NEVER ANSWERED E-MAILS. Stupid fuckers.

Buyrite is located about 5 hours from where I live. Before I had the internet (about 5 years ago) I found out about them through a local gaming store. I was looking for a Neo-Geo CD system back then and called Buyrite. They told me they had one in stock and that they would hold it for me until the next day. After I drove 5 hours to get there the assholes didn't even have a Neo CD system, and told me they never had one to start with....I bitched and complained and asked for a discount on a PS1 JPN game that I figured I'd get while I was there and they wouldn't oblige. About a year later a friend of mine ordered some Saturn games from them and when he got them they were missing manuals and had the wrong inlays in them...and he overpayed to boot. Buyrite is the worst possible place you could buy from, and the staff there are unfriendly and unreliable.

With the countless threads and people posting their horror stories and experience with BuyRite, it amazes me that there will always be those that choose to ignore all the signs and drive on over the cliff.
I have a theory about this: Some people want a horror story to share about them so they can feel that they are part of something. Its worth it for some of these individuals to get srewed over because its more important for them to share their experience with others so they feel as if they are helping the community from the evils of BuyRite.........

One member on here (I forgot who it was) had a cousin that got arrested for raising a ruckus at Buyrite with a baseball bat, which they FUCKING DESERVED.
Ok, based on my order history with them and that's around 5 times (before I learned about ncs or tronix)here is what I can share.
1. Order only the NEW AND RECENT ITEMS AND ONLY IF YOU HAVE TO.
2. FORGET THE NEO,SATURN or any RETRO GAMES FROM THEM BEC CHANCES ARE THEY DON'T REALLY HAVE IT.
3. MOST OF THE OLDER IMPORTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE EVEN IF IT'S LISTED ON THE SITE.
4. Don't even think of getting quick responses, if you are the type who would just fire away with your order and wait for as long as your patience can hold then by all means give them a try.
5. Last, do not be fooled by the buyrite.net site as stated above THEY DON'T HAVE MOST OF WHAT THEY ADVERTISE.
It amazes me how these people can still draw customers despite the questionable record. Threads like this one give them PUBLICITY and sometimes even favor them. SO FOR ALL YOUR GAMING NEEDS GO TO www.buyrite.net

why is it even an option to order from there?
with ebay and all and LOTS of japanese sellers there to sell
even the rarest uncommon games it boogles the mind that
there is even a need to order from them.
think about how bad you want something and look for it

I buy from them all the time, they're top-notch sellers.
Don't believe the bad things people say, the vast majority of those people have never actually dealt with them, and only insult their services because it's become the "popular" thing around the net to do.

I buy a "new" NGPC from them, it take more that a month before i get it, the only protection was a paperboard, the serial number on my NGPC box its not the same from my NGPC, and finally my NGPC was not in is box when i receive it
At last, I receive my NGPC, but i wont buy again from them.

-I ordered a domestic game only they had in stock and got overnight shipping. They waited a week to send it and then shipped overnight.
-I ordered a EU Dreamcast game and they just dropped it into a non-padded envelope and it was absolutely destroyed in transit.
Of course they refused to take care of any of these issues. On the 2nd two times it was one of those circumstances where only they had the items in stock and a lot of time had passed since the last bad experience.
I tend to think of it as an IQ test that I failed...

Buy-Rite is right down the street from me (~20 minutes), and yes, they do indeed suck t3h Azz. The stock that they list on the net in NO WAY reflects what they have in the store (not even close). It's ridiculous how they got to be so popular (or rather, infamous), seeing as how their store and their management is a complete joke.
