I'm thinking of buying a MOTW MVS cart from eBay, and I'd like to verify a few things about it.

Instead of the cart casing being the normal clear, it had a light green casing. He said it was the asian version.

When I asked for him to take a closer picture of the label and serial, he said it didn't have any serials. Again, the asian version.

Here's the auction:

So is there something I should be concerned about? Despite the fact that he displays the PCB's in front of a closed cart? (Oh, and BTW, he admitted that the marquee is a reprint)

Thanks.

As a rule of thumb on eBay:

100% Working = Boot
100% SNK = Legit

I recently bought a "100% Working" TSS from the same seller.

it could be the jap version because they came with green carts but he may have swapped the label for an english one. Even so the boards look legit to me.

I have purchased from Great Western quite a bit and have had very good luck. Can't say if that cart is a boot or not, but I do have previous experience with that seller and everything has gone smoothly.

Picture in your link..

The PCBs on that link are legit....That carts pretty much legit.
He's just showing in the auction that the carts not a boot.....(I do the same thing sometimes)..Since this is a cart that has been bootlegged.

It's possible it could have a repro label..
It probably had a messed up Jap label and he put on a nice repro US label.

He's got perfect feedback..
If he sells you something else ...What's not pictured(a boot) I'd send it back.

Ask him if it's a repro label....If no responce stay away..

I usually stay away from Working written in auctions...Depends on who the seller is an if picks are provided...."Some sellers" may have no clue what original, authentic, bootleg,SNK,Legit etc....all they know is it works..
I didn't know to use those terms until I came here...

I'd say if a seller won't provide picks when requested then that steers me away...(depends on the circumstance)..he clearly has a camera...IMO he knows some info about Neo Geo MVS..

My Japanese MVS MOTW is in a green case like that one..
Mine has no Serials on the label....the serial numbers are on the silver sticker stuck on one side of the label.

I've personally never seen this cart in a clear case......Only Green and I'm pretty sure Black.
