If I buy 6 slot MVS board, can I simply mount it, add one button and be done with it, or is it more complicated than that? Because If I have to take last blade 2 or KOF 2k3 out one more time so that my fiancee can play puzzle bobble, I'm going to jump off a cliff :)

It will deinitely require some work. You'd have to add a button that lets you select between the games and also depending on what 1 slot board you have, it may be using normal JAMMA wiring. 2, 4, and 6 slot boards all use a modified JAMMA wiring because of the game select button and the stereo output. If you go to www.hardmvs.com they have some info on this there. Good luck.

I went through this about two weeks ago.

There are a few steps involved, but non are complicated.

1. Make a Jamma -> MVS connecter. Probably 1.5 - 3 hours.
2. Unmount and then mount your board. You will probably need to drill some new holes. 1 hour
* I actually needed to move my power supply to a different location in my cab. This step took me close to three hours.

3. Drill the hole for your extra button. 10 minutes. Or if you are like me and foget to charge your cordless drill then it will take 2 hours.

4. Rewire you speakers for stereo. 30 minutes

5. Plug everything in and see if it works. Be prepared to get a multimeter and adjust your 5V pot on the power supply. Mine didn't have one so I bought a new one. 2 minutes - 5 days.

If your one slot is a MV-1, 1F or 1FS it has stereo through the edge connect, so no mod required with your existing cab/con set up if its wired for stereo already.

Select switch doesnt have to be a seperate switch/button (why drill your panel) better to wire to another switch, say player one joystick down, so to select games a tweek of the joystick does it.

MVS wiring below, good luck.
