:help:
To make this short I now have my DVD Player, XBOX, and PS2 connected via Component. I'm currently having my Neo-Geo Modded by J. Kurtz with his new Neo Boards. What I want to know is what kind/brand of TV is best when running everything Component? Oh and...please don't go past the 3, 500 mark, lol.
I'm currently running everything on my 27 inch JVC.....which I'm just finding out that it was only "Component ready" but not an HDTV. What should I look for or ask when I have to confront those "puppets" at Circuit City or Best Buy...or any other place?

If you're willing to spend up to $3,500, I'd definitely look for an HDTV. And get one that will upscan 480-i signals to progressive. Once you see your games in progressive, it's hard to go back, no matter how good you think they might have looked on a nicer non-HD set. It's like going back to watching VCR tapes after you've been used to DVDs. If you want to go widescreen, that's up to you, but personally I like my 4:3 set which has the option of running in widescreen mode. Now as far as plasma vs. LCD vs. tubes, I can't make a solid comment, because I have yet to see console games played on LCD or plasma. However, I hooked up my Dreamcast to a PC LCD monitor once and the games looked great standing still, but when there was movement there was a lot of ghosting and it looked terrible. It was practically unplayable. I'm going to assume that the situation would be the same with an LCD TV, because both have a fixed resolution - which is simply the nature of LCD displays.

I have a 40" Tube. If you do get a tube, get flatscreen, but once again since you are willing to pay up to $3,500 that should be assumed.
