Just wondering if anyone has received any kind of Email notification from Lik-Sang to confirm their PSP pre-order? I have not but if others have this would be a good indication that you are getting one on release date and you are in a good spot in the line sorta speak. I have a big feeling I may not get one on the release date because I pre-ordered a little too late?
Does anyone know when the next batch of PSP's are to ship in Dec if even that? It would be nice if anyone can share any info they have. Being that is just 5 days away from the release, you would think that they would be confirming orders right now and charging credit cards.

I've been wondering when Lik-Sang plans to finalize a price for the PSP also. I preordered in May, surely that's early enough to get in on the first shipment. I haven't had any order confirmation email from them yet, but the site says they will be emailing people on the launch date to finalize payment details. Seems kinda goofy to wait until the 12th to start charging cards, I can't believe they still don't know what price they are gonna be charging for the PSP yet. Hopefully it is better than the $219 that Play-Asia is charging, which as far as I know is the best avilable price for the PSP at the moment. NCSX is at $255.

Actually if you looked closely enough on LIK's site (when they started the whole thing) and if I remember right, their price is gonna be at $235. I really hope that I am in a good spot? I did my order with games on Nov23rd. I emailed them and they stated that I still may have a good place because of cancels (Thanks TONK) and non-paying people. However because of the short supply (thanks SONY) that it was really hard to tell. I think to be and stay in competion Lik-Sang will prolly have a price very close to if not better then others. And in reallity NCSX, Play-Asia, Lik-Sang and others dont have a SET IN STONE price.

I remember seeing that awhile back where they said the price range should be between $200 and $235. I'm just hopeful that the final price will come in closer to the lower end of that range. Hopefully the email confirmation will come sooner than later.

Just got an email from Lik-Sang saying the first shipment of PSP value Packs is on the way in and with one game expect the price to be between $450-$600. Bull fuckin shit. I haven't had a pre-order in since May to get ripped off with this bullshit price. The thing costs under $200 new in Japan, and other sites are offering it as low as $219, where do they get this fuckin price? Guess I'm not getting a launch PSP. Should have went with Play-Asia or NCSX I guess. :very_ang:

Supply and demand my ass. That's why you pre-order shit early so you don't get jacked by these BS prices. They just figure the hype for the PSP is so high now that they will get essentially whatever price they want. I'm betting alot of people will be cancelling their orders. No game system is worth $600, 3X the value of the thing. I don't give a rats ass what the supply and demand. What is the point of a pre-order if I'm still gonna get rippped on the price?

They can and apparently will jack the price up to whatever they fell like making it. As long as suckers pay these inflated prices, they will keep jacking shit up. They obviously advertise a sweet price, only to fuck you in the end. Kinda like those places on the net selling DVD camcorders for the advertised price of $350, less than half of retail, what they don't tell you is that it doesn't include anything but the camcorder itself, minus the battery, charger and anything else it is suppossed to come with. BS all the way.

The last update from NCSX makes it sound like they arent going to jack the price throught the roof but you might have to wait a few weeks after the release day frevor.

I preordered my PSP with 2 games and UPS shipping on the 29th October for USD381 from play-asia. They got my money immediatly as I paid by Paypal. Now now, they better not ask me for another 200USD or so, because I`d feel not only cheated but fucking pissed!

Please note that a limitation that suppliers have imposed on the launch of the PSP is that they will not accept any returns on PSPs that have dead pixel problems due to the supply shortages. We are not sure why they made a point to stipulate this particular issue but there may be rumors of excessive dead pixel problems on PSP machines amongst the distros. We just don't know at this time. We will clarify this policy to all of our customers in an email that we will send out on Monday once we have had time to digest and sift through the first reports from Japan that will be sent to us on Saturday.

LOL

Irony

Yep, i received a message from them, saying that the price for PS2 launch was $865 and that PSP will be equaly expensive because it is verry saught after etc etc... but... when you receive the final detail of first batch price, you can refuse it and wait for a "normal price" one in the later batch of lik sang arrivals without beeing chased from preorder list, you keep your priority (i was early because i preordered few hours after the site update with psp preorder opening, i think i am pretty good on the list).

with an approcimate of 400 or 500 per unit, that is more than 2 times the shelves prices, and a no thanks from me :) i have no time to play because of my little family (soon bigger), and can wait :P

This email contains important information about your Sony PSP
Pre-Order. Please read it carefully and prepare to react quickly if
you would like to get a PSP from the first shipments that reach Lik
Sang.

You will very soon receive another email with the subject "PSP
Confirmation" when your PSP is allocated to you and the exact price is
known. It is important that you reply to the "PSP Confirmation" email
as fast as possible in order to get your PSP from the first batch.

There is no need to reply right now, as this email only contains
information how you can prepare best to get your system shipped in
time.
[.. a lot of info..]
When the first mass shipment reaches Lik Sang, you will receive an
email containing the price of the first stock. If you decide to be
part of the PSP Launch and the price is acceptable to you, please
reply to the email immediately confirming that we should ship your
order.

If you do not have a credit card for payment, this will be the moment
when you have to send payment via Telegraphic Transfer (bank payment).
See later in this email.

Please keep your confirmation email as short as possible and confirm
without asking questions that are already answered in this email or in
the PSP Update on our web site. This helps Lik Sang a great deal in
providing fast servicing of answers and rush processing or the orders.

If you choose to wait for cheaper stock to arrive, there is no need to
reply to the email, as ignoring the first launch offer still lets you
keep your spot in the reservation list. If you decide to ask
questions, we will reply to them once the initial mass shipment has
left our warehouse and all first-release orders have been dealt with.

Please understand that this is the only way to get thousands of PSP
systems shipped in time.

and pages of info ... about payment conditions, etc

I forgot, for battery, with an extra battery (at $30), you should be able to play ridge racers 11hours in a row, enough for your flight to/from japan :) (that s official lasting from namco with WIFI OFF, not realy accurate i fear, but still, even 4 hours per battery would be nice, my GBA only lasts 3 hours -getting old-).

PS... i forgot again: http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20041211/rrs.htm
the review of ridge :)

I like how Lik-Sang has removed all the user comments about the latest news article they released concerning the PSP shortage and pricing. Chickenshits don't want potential buyers seeing all the bitching about there fucked up price increase and how they have screwed over all there pre-ordering customers...
