Ok, Well,I bought this game a few days ago,and played it for about 20 minutes today(Its a christmas gift, thaat I "borrowed" from my mom and played on my friends DS :D ) and I happen to think it was pretty cool.I never played the original,so I dont know if it's any diffrent,so,If you have played it,post your feedback on it ( Except Chimpmeister, cause everything related to Nintendo to him Sucks) ,what's exclusive to the ds version,charecters,skill,etc....

I freaking love it.

I'm sorry I missed out on the DC version.

I've played for 6 hours so far.

You get the other characters by digging through the various stages.

I won't be getting the US version because it lacks one-cart-multiplay.

I haven't decided on the Japanese version yet.

Bought the game Saturday but got my DS today so haven't had a chance yet. But I have the Mr. Driller PCB so I know I'll love the game. I like the fact you can see more of the screen too. Seems like a natural game for the system.

It's vastly inferrior to the GC version which I have. The GC version has six unique modes of play, including a very fun "Tower of Druaga" mode which plays sort of like a chunsoft game, and "huge" mode which is like normal but with a huge playing field (very cool).

I also heard they took out the best mode in the U.S. release! Oh well, at least that boss battle mode is pretty cool.

The GC version is great. It is too bad Namco did not release it in the USA.

I have enjoyed every Mr. Driller game. Other than the extended view, I am not sure that this game takes any real advantage of the DS.

That being said, I am glad that Namco released it for the DS as it is one of my favorite series.

i'd say the original ps and dc versions aren't too great,
mainly because both were one player.
if you're playing by yourself then more power to you.

I thought about picking this up because there aren't many games coming out for DS in the near future, but I didn't buy because I've been spending too much $$ on games lately as it is.

Heard the JP version is the one you want, because it has single cart multi-player and a mode the US didn't get.

Do JP games even work on a U.S. system?

All Gameboy games, and DS games work on all systems unmodded.

I like the game a whole lot, just truns out I suck at it. I love the fact that DIG DUG is in the game as Mr.Driller's dad.

I want to hear how the Japanese verson turns out. I heard somthing about one cart multiplayer and another mode. But I just want to hear the classic "Meeeestah Dreeelah"voice again. Damn American voice actors pronouncing stuff correctlly!
