RGB computer monitor question

One of my coworkers was nice enough to find me a 21" RGB monitor. :drool_2:

I first plan on hooking it up to the monitor port on my Atomiswave, but I was also wondering how I would go about hooking it up to a supergun or directly to a MV-1F Neo board.

Any links or information to get me started?

I can only imagine what Garou would look like on this badboy...

The first thing you need to do is make sure that this RGB monitor is actually an RGB monitor and not a VGA monitor. Meaning... can this RGB monitor sync down to 15 khz? Because if it can't, then you will need an upscan converter like a XRGB/XRGB+ to get your Neo or Supergun working on it.

If it can sync down to 15 khz, well, I am not technical enough to explain, but I am sure someone else here can. :tickled:

I'll hit up google and find out what the monitor stats are when I get home. I didn't even get a chance to check out what brand it was or anything yet, just packed it in the car.

All I know right now is that it has 5 connectors in the back that are marked R G B H/V V (not sure about the last two, going on memory here).

The cable has those 5 leads on one end and a normal 15 pin monitor connection on the other.

I may or may not be on the right track, but hey I thought it was worth a shot :buttrock:

well it's encouraging that the monitor does display dolphin blue on atomiswave pretty well.

the only thing is that the screen won't stretch all the way to the sides so there is a border on each side (like letterbox turned sideways).

but from the manual that display is 15khz so hopefully all I need to do is figure out how to wire some sort of adapter to get it to play from the supergun or neo. :)
