Hmm, i'm not really sure, but the backs sure seem to have some shoddy soldering :spock: .

Hey guys,

I got a Puzzle De Pon! MVS Cart that i need to know if its a boot or not before i sell it off. I've had it for over 6 months now and its worked fine. I originally got it off a member on these forums.

Check the pics:

board 1 front
board 1 back
Board 2 front
Board 2 back

Eeeesh..

You know when this is written with a cart check request (got it off a member on these forums) and I reply that it's a boot..
I usually get a pm later that I'm an A-HOLE for saying Boot from the person who owned it before hand/sold it to who is asking.....But I'm honest and if it's a boot it's a boot.

I agree with Bill..
....
I'm a bit stumped on this one..

It looks to be a boot but a very well made boot..

That soldering is neat but just not what I see on legit carts......(repairs yes and late changes...

Thanks guys..

Damn my boards are not even close to yours with the layout of chips..

I thought boots would'nt even have legit SNK boards but a totally remade board with chips?

Could it be possable that if this is a boot that the person that made it used some other game board and chips and combinded the few eproms to make this game? Kinda like a conversion?

There are quite a lot of boots that are "conversions", as it is possibly cheaper to sacrifice an old and worthless original cart and replace some of its roms by burnt ones.

About this one, it's either a sloppy repair or a boot.

its a boot.

those 2 NGH 33 chips are FF1 ones, not related to the game in question. The rest of toshiba solid chips tc544200p-150 are proms.

It's a boot. Those are one-time programmable eproms (PROM). No window, so to someone that has never seen these, or at a quick glance, it looks legit... Metallizer pointed this out, but didn't explain it.
