FRENCH POLICE LOSE PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES ON A COMMERCIAL AIRLINER!

Apparently, during a full scale security drill, French Police planted REAL plastic explosives onboard a Jet airliner, then failed to uncover it with sniffer dogs, and finally, failed to recover it, and forgot which one it was on!!!
Well, they say it's got to be one of a short list of around 80!
Can't find a link, it was on C4 news tonight.
They say the plastique isn't dangerous :spock:

A thought occurs!
Apart fromt the obvious embarrasment to the French anti terrorist police, how many airports is this plane going to go through, and how many security checks will it pass before someone stumbles upon the Plastic?

Yeah, I just read this in the Spanish news:

They say the explosive is not dangerous, as it lacks a detonator and there is no other way to make it explode. Anyway they say they put it in a "random baggage", but I didn't understand if that means somebody's real baggage, that will be quite surprised when he finds it (or in trouble if it is found in the real security check).

They put it in someones suitcase not in a plane. but the suitcase accidentally got loaded onto a plane. :lol:

According to the Spanish news, they put the plastic in a random luggage, and then put it in the conveyor belt, for the dogs to find it. A dog actually found it, and the policemen put it out, but then they went to look for the other dog. When they came back, the luggage was not where they put it, so they assume an employee found it and put it back to the belt to have it sent to its destination. They couldn't find it again so they assume it took off in any plane.

Anyone else not surprised that the french couldn't seem to be able to dig up a working munition in the entire country?

I also hear that the French government surrendered to TWA, PanAM, American, ValuJet and Continental for good measure.. they will be landing on french soil with military equipment, you know.

Anyway, I can't believe they put it in someones bag! Some respectable traveller could have a sniffer dog jump on him/her when they go through customs!

OH BLOODY HELL OK THEN!

Well, Hans Blix was just about to find it, he said he knew where it was, and just needed a little bit more time to get it, when the CIA (acting on faulty intelligence) mistook him for Osama Bin Laden and arrested him!
Which caused the whole problem!

Seiously though, I've just heard it was five ounces, and it happened on Friday!

LMAO!! The French police have said it's no more harmful than a bar of chocolate!!!!!!!!

So are the French considered liable/responsible if that plastique just happens to find it's way into some wacko's suitcase and it's used? Would they then be considered ARMING a "Terrorist"? *That's what I'd like to know.

Never underestimate the French Police... I'm sure this took place right after breakfast when they still had 1.5g of alcohol left from their "coffee".
